PROLOGUE

"He's right there! Get him!" A voice called. A ringing went through Eric's ears, running as fast as he could. He was filled with so much rage that his face started to become hot to the touch.
He could hear the thudding steps behind him, Kyle being the closest. Eric reached out and grabbed the back of the man's shirt, and brought him down.
"You really think you can run from me? Huh?!" He yelled at the man, breathing heavily. "Eric! Stop!!" He heard Kyle call behind him. He felt a rustling beneath him and looked down. Suddenly the man pulled a gun out of his belt and cocked it.
Eric's face went pale. He tried to stand up fast enough, but the man had already aimed it straight for his heart.
All went silent in his world, Kyle's screaming and Stan and Kenny's running were echoing in the back of his mind. A sharp noise shot through the air. Kyle flinched, and slowly looked up.
Eric, breathing heavily, held his chest, unable to move. He began to panic, his breaths quickening and blood dripping. He looked down, and he became dizzy. He tilted his hand and began to shake once he saw all the blood. He huffed, and collapsed.
"ERIC!!" Kyle called. The man stood in shock, but finally fled the scene, scared for his life. Kyle ran for Eric and kneeled down on the concrete. "Eric! Where'd he get you?" He frantically asked.
Eric coughed and mumbled as he began to tremble. "Eric?" Kyle asked. He began to panic. "I'm fine." Eric managed. "You just got shot! You can't be fine!" Kyle said.
"Look, just give me a hand. We don't have time for this; we need to find that-" He paused and gasped. "Come on." He said. Kyle watched as Eric marched on with a small limp. His heart began to sink as he saw blood drip as Eric walked off, as if he never even knew.
"E-Eric. Eric, we need to get you to the hospi-"
Eric trembled, then fell onto the concrete. "Eric!" Kyle called. Stan and Kenny finally caught up.
"Guys! Call 9-1-1! Now!" Kyle yelled, holding Eric. "It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay." He whispered. "It's gonna be okay.."
