Kenny took a sip of his beer as he listened to Stan and Kyle talk. He looked up at the ring behind the two, and Eric emerged through the door. He lowered his cigar and threw down a pamphlet.
Eric blew and smoke filled the room. "Scott's inviting us." Kyle picked up the pamphlet and read it.'MASQUERADE BALL HELD AT SILVER STAR MEMORIAL'
Was written on the front. Kyle flipped the page and kept reading.
'THOMAS ARMS WANTS TO CELEBRATE THEIR 50th ANNIVERSARY WITH YOU; SOME OF OUR BEST SELLERS!'
On the next page over was a list of names.
'ERIC CARTMAN, KYLE BROFLOVSKI, STAN MARSH, KENNY McCORMICK, VICTOR CHAOS, TOLKIEN BLACK, TWEEK TWEAK, CRAIG TUCKER, CLYDE DONOVAN, PHILLIP PIRRIP, DAMIEN THORN, MICHEAL HAWTHORN, HENRIETTA BIGGLE, FIRKLE SMITH, PETE THELMAN, SULLIVAN CRAYFORD, JANICE LIESEMAN,..'
And a couple dozen other names.
Kyle closed the pamphlet. "What is this?" He asked. Kyle set down the paper and Stan grabbed it after him. "A masquerade ball. Down at that old black castle lookin' place. Scott wants us to go."
"And we're going? No way! Victors group will be there!" Kyle shouted. "Look. We're all a friend of Scott's, he sells us all guns. He told us no messing around while we're there because this is his night. I'm not messing it up for him, so they shouldn't either."
Kyle rolled his eyes. Eric took a swing of his cigar and continued. "The theme is black and gold but you can wear red or white if you want. You're supposed to wear animal masks or something. I don't know. But you're all going." Kenny huffed.
"Look, nothing should happen, okay? We're just gonna have fun and drink and get out a little. Scott said he even rented limos for all of us."
"Only you'd be excited for that." Kenny said as he looked at his rings. Eric lowered his eyebrows. Eric snatched the paper out of Stan's hands. "It's next Friday. And I swear to god if I don't see any of you there I'm gonna kill you." Eric turned and walked out.
"Well this should be fun. Haven't been to a good party in a long while." "Seriously, Stan?" Kyle asked. "What?" "If we go, we are walking into a death trap." Kyle said. "You heard what Eric said. If they stopped for Kenny and Victor, surely they'll stop for Scott's company's anniversary. We're all friends of his after all." Stan assured. Kenny scoffed. Kyle and Stan looked over at Kenny.
"What's so funny?" Kyle asked. "Just the fact that I literally barely even know the guy." Kenny said. Kyle smiled. "Yeah, who really does?" Stan said with a smile. "I'm gonna head out. I'll see you guys later."
Kenny got up from his chair and walked around the table. "See ya, Kenny." Kyle said.Kenny walked out of the door and approached his car. He leaned against the hood and dialed a number into his phone. The line rang, and a man answered.
"Hey. Did you get that pamphlet?" Kenny asked. "Yeah. I'm guessing you did too." "Yeah. Are you going?" "Yeah. We all are." "Okay. Can you just make sure you don't try to kill us? Just this one night? Please, Victor." Kenny pleaded. Victor paused. "I can't make any promises." Victor said. Kenny huffed as he hung up his phone.Kenny hung up on him, and Victor put his phone back in his pocket. "So. Where were we?" Victor asked. Michael took a swig of his cigarette. "We were making a deal." "Ah, yes." Victor said.
Victors eyes drifted behind the four of them. "Could you sit down, Damien? You're making me nervous." Victor awkwardly chuckled. Damien stood in the corner, arms crossed along his chest. He wrinkled his nose. "Okay. You don't have to." Victor quickly reeled. "Anyway, back to you." Victor looked back at the four.
"So what do we get out of this?" Michael asked. "What is something you love doing?" Victor asked. Michael sat in silence for a while. "Setting fires." He said. Pete looked over at Michael and grinned.
Victor gulped. "Okay... Well I can help with that." Michael made a puzzled face. "If you help me, I will make sure you never get caught." Victor said. "What are we burning?" Pete asked. Victor grinned as he grabbed the pamphlet. He slid it to them, and the four looked back and forth at each other. "Deal." Michael said.
"Beautiful." Victor got up and shook Michaels hand. "See you Friday afternoon?" Victor asked. "Friday afternoon it is." Michael smiled. The four turned and left the room. Damien stood in the corner a little longer, then finally went after the four.
Victor yanked his collar, sweating a little. Victor had never been fond of the way Damien stared at people.
