Chapter 6: "Sir Yes Sir!" and Cute Baristas
The next Tuesday, Jimmy arrived 10 minutes after the Café had opened.
Currently, Canada was instructing Jimmy about protocols and rules.
"So basically, all you're doing is asking the customers what they want, write it down, and give the orders to me. Before the school year starts, I'll teach you how to actually make the drinks. Oh, we take cash and credit. You just write the order down, then put it in the tablet, and take the credit card. If they pay with cash, then just write the order down that's all. Now try it, I'll be the customer and you the cashier."
Canada paused. "Can you do that?"
"Sir yes sir!" Jimmy beamed at Canada. Canada was pretty sure that was the wrong term but he didn't comment.
"I'd like to order a green tea." Canada started. Jimmy scribbled the order down.
"Uh, cash or credit?"
"Cash please,"
"Alright!" Jimmy paused. "Uh, what now?"
"You just give me the order, I make it, you call out the drink and bam."
"I can do that!"
"Great. You start now," Canada went into the back.
Greece was a little bit surprised(a lot) to see that the cute barista who worked every morning at the coffee shop down the street wasn't there. Instead, some blonde man was standing at the cash register.
"Who do you think that is?" Macedonia whispered loudly, getting a 'shut up' from Albania.
"We should go ask where Clementine is," Albania suggested.
"Yeah, let's go," Greece decided.
The man, who looked to be lost, smiled when they came over.
"Hi what can I get you?" He grinned, notepad in hand.
"Do you know where Clementine is?" Macedonia asked.
The man paused. "Uh yes, I do. I can get him to come up after he's done?"
"That would be very appreciated, thank you," Albania gave the man a smile.
"Uh yeah, anyways what would you like?"
"A mocha Frappuccino, cappuccino, and a latte," Greece spoke up. He wasn't smiling as he usually did when they visited the coffee shop.
"Cash or credit?"
"Cash." Greece took out 30 dollars and handed it to the man. "Keep the change."
"Coming right up!"
The second Canada got the piece of paper, he didn't even look at it. He knew the three men came in everyday. They were usually his first customers.
So he decided to come out and serve them himself.
"Oh he's so dreamy.." Albania muttered.
"What? The guy?" Macedonia leaned over to see who Albania was talking about.
"Yeah.." Albania sighed, staring at the man.
"You know you'll only like him for a week and then lose interest, right?" Greece stated.
"So? He's amazing. And cute. I'll love him until I don't."
"You're weird. And insane." Albania sticks his tongue out at Macedonia.
Macedonia poked Albania in retaliation. That only lead to bickering.
Greece didn't bother to stop them, all to used to this. He just wanted to see Clementine. And the gods must have answered his wishes, because at that moment Clementine showed up with 3 drinks.
~+~
I don't know why I do this to myself. Now Canada has two love interests, Albania has a love interest and you better bet there will be more.
Would you rather: Have one week of Summer or 3 months of Summer but do homework everyday throughout the summer.
