Chapter 5: New Recruit
Ding!
A young man, who looked to be about in his young 20's came in bearing a paper. He had messy dirty blond hair, green eyes and a fairly attractive face(at least in Canada's opinion).
He came up to the counter where Canada was.
"How can I help you?" Canada asked, ready to put in his order.
The man fidgeted. "Oh ehm, I saw this paper saying this place was hirin'...?" He had a thick southern accent.
Finally! Ah but that's still bad anyways..
"Great. Follow me," Canada motioned to follow him.
The man, confused as to how to get past the counter, JUMPED OVER the counter. Canada stared, astounded. The man blushed, embarrassed and guilty. Was I not supposed to do that? He thought.
"Come on.." Canada lead him into the back. There was a small room with a table and chair. A small light in the middle of the room.
"Sit." Canada ordered.
The man, sat down and watched Canada.
"First off, what's your name?" Canada started.
"Jimmy. Jimmy Miley."
Jimmy felt like he was being interrogated like in those detective movies where they're in a small room with a table, chair and light.
"Why do you want this job?"
Jimmy smiled at Canada. "I need a job, an' I saw a poster and.. well yeah.." Jimmy trailed off.
"Okay. You're hired."
Jimmy stared at Canada stunned. "But, ya didn't look at my ID, or check my age or- or-"
"I need another person to take shifts because I'm going to college. I don't care if you're a real person or not. I just need someone to take over shifts."
"Oh- oh okay."
Silence.
"I nevur got yer name," Jimmy stated.
"Clementine." Canada lied without a thought.
"That's a pretty name," Jimmy blushed.
"Come here next Tuesday, I'll show you how to work, and then we'll figure out our schedules.
"I- I can do that!" Jimmy beamed at "Clementine".
"Great, see you Tuesday. Also use the swinging door on your way out."
Swinging door? Jimmy thought.
~+~
I finally made this chapter.
Anyways, Jimmy is not a country. Or city. He's just Jimmy.
Anyone have ideas they'd like to see in this book? I'll take all of them into consideration.
