"Now you two are sleeping together? Gross!!!" a strangely familiar voice brought me out of my deep sleep.

I blinked once, then twice, until my eyes came into focus on Alise who was standing at the foot of my bed with her arms crossed.

"Who?" my voice sounded groggy and I inwardly winced.

"You and Zane!" she shrieked loud enough to break my ear drums.

"We aren't even near each other..." I groaned, looking to a still sleeping Zane who was curled up on the other side of my bed.

Alise shrugged, her brown eyes gleaming with mischievousness, "Get him up in the next ten minutes. Alpha's calling a meeting."

I waited for Alise to leave my bedroom before I dragged myself out of the warmth of my bed. I pulled my arms behind my back until I heard a satisfying crack, and then proceeded to stretch out my sore and battered limbs.

"Why are you awake so early?" Zane's morning voice slid shivers down my spine.

"Pack meeting." i replied as I rummaged through my drawer for something to wear.

"Wear the exercise leggings." I could practically see Zane's smirk as he said that.

"Why?"

He chuckled, the sound rich and warm, "They make your ass look good."

My cheeks grew red but he was telling the truth... they made my butt look great! I pulled on the leggings and slid on my white muscle tank that showed off my muscular biceps and even the sleeve I had tattooed onto my arm.

Zane whistled.

"Fuck off, pervert," I grinned at him as he pulled himself out of the bed.

The pack meetings were held inside of the ballroom our house had. The ballroom was filled with chairs and lots of members from our gang sitting in them. The meetings were always something unexpected, we didn't have many of them unless we were either A) doing a raid or B) something big happened. I normally would be nervous but I knew the pack meeting was going to be about what happened last night.

I could only hope the other members didn't think I was responsible for Anthony's death.

I took a seat in my usual spot in the first row next to our pack Beta, Micheal. He turned to speak to me but Jeremy's loud and booming voice rang out among all of us causing Micheal to turn back in his seat.

"Everyone, quiet down!" Jeremy shouted over the buzz from the crowd.

We quieted at once.

"As i'm sure most of ya'll have heard about the accident from last night." Jeremy began as he paced the large wooden stage placed in front of us.

Soft murmurs erupted throughout the crowd but they were once again silenced by a harsh look from Jeremy.

"Last night we lost a fellow warrior, Anthony. He dedicated himself to this gang and ended up paying the ultimate price, death. We mourn for him, but we must patch our wounds and move on." Jeremy's voice send quivers of excitement throughout my body, he sounded so powerful, so in charge.

"Last night will not be seen as anybody's fault, or a failure. Last night was a bump in the road that we must conquer!" His voice grew louder, "We are a team, we are undefinable, we will not be beaten, we will not lose!"

Jeremy paused, his feral eyes sweeping over the room, "What are we?!" He shouted. A fiery bolt of energy erupted through my body. I jumped to my feet along with many of the other members of our pack.
