Infatuated

CHAPTER TWO

The now quartet walked to the central area.

"Fury! Did you miss me?" Adeline exclaimed

Fury sighed and shook his head while hiding a smile.

"You know I did Adeline"

Addy fist-bumped him and moved to greet Maria while the others talked.

"Doctor, thank you for coming" Fury said plainly

"Thanks for asking nicely. So, how long am I staying?"

"Once we get our hands on the Tesseract, you're in the clear."

The group continued discussing Clint and the plans. After a while Natasha and Adeline led Bruce to his lab.

"So how'd you get involved into this mess Adeline?" Bruce asked while sneaking a glance at Natasha.

"My dad primarily. We run Stark industries together, I'm a co-owner" she smiled "but I actually have been working with S.H.I.E.L.D because of my powers"

Bruce was shocked. This girl was so young and she was a co-owner of one of the biggest companies in the world; and she had powers?
it was safe to say Bruce was flabbergasted.

"You have powers?"

"I do." She confirmed.

"How?"

"we're not sure where they sprouted from. I don't know much about them, but I do know the extent of them and that they correlate with my dreams"

"Dreams?"

"You're a curious man Dr. Banner" She laughed.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overstep"

"You're alright! Since I was a child I've had dreams of a woman with the same powers as me"

"Interesting"

Natasha, Bruce and Adeline continued discussing miscellaneous topics until Phil came to retrieve them.

"It's time"

The group of "heroes" arrived, suited up and ready, in Stuttgart, Germany.

Each of them, except Banner and Nat, jumped out of the Quinjet, ready to fight.

Addy started to fall to the floor, allowing vines to wrap around her waist and bring her down.

She approached Natasha and the Captain.

"You know the last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing" Steve said to Loki.

Loki stood tall with a smirk on his face.

"the soldier, a man out of time"

Adeline took notice of the unusual icy blue color of his eyes. "Something is off" she thought to herself.

"I'm not the one who's out of time"

Natasha approached in a smaller jet with guns ready.

"Loki put down the weapon"

Loki ignored her and tried to use his scepter to manipulate the people.

"Kneel" he demanded.

"Not today!" Steve yelled angrily.

Steve stormed at Loki and started fighting him.
Suddenly AC/DC started playing. Adeline grinned, knowing exactly who it was.
