Adeline walked into the S.H.I.E.L.D building on a Tuesday at 9:37 AM. She walked towards the elevator, a chai latte in one hand, and her phone held to her ear in the other.
"Yes dad, I saw the sign, yes it looks good. I'm headed up to the Quinjet right now, yup I'll see you soon"
Addy shook her head and sighed at her fathers childish nature.
She got into the elevator and pressed the button to go to the top floor. The elevator dinged and she walked out into the open air. She was welcomed by a cool breeze brushing her hair against her face. She threw her empty coffee cup away and walked forward.
"Adeline, it's good to see you!"
"You as well Phil!"
"Has Fury updated you on the situation yet?"
"Yes, we're headed to the landing ship, correct?"
"Yes, we're going with the Captain. Romanoff and Banner are already there."
Adeline bumped Phil in the shoulder.
"You must be having a field day with Rogers being here, huh?"
A rosy hue appeared on Phils' neck.
Adeline smiled and walked with Phil towards
the aircraft. Adeline caught sight of a tall blonde man.
Addy held out her hand to the soldier.
"Captain Rogers, good to meet you. Adeline Stark"
"Good to meet you ma'am"
"Please, Addy is just fine" She grinned.
They took their seats and waited to arrive at the landing ship.
Adeline stepped out onto the metal floor, excited to see her best friend. Once she saw the red head, she ran towards her and tackled her into a big hug.
"Nat! I missed you!"
Natasha chuckled and held on tightly to the joyful girl.
"I missed you as well прекрасный (lovely)"
Adeline held on to Natasha for a little bit longer, having missed her after not seeing her for a long time. Natasha gently stroked her hair until Steve cleared is throat, trying to get the attention of one of the two girls.
"I hate to interrupt but where do we go?"
Adeline released her hold on Natasha and both girls beckoned the man to follow. They headed to the central area, making small talk as they went.
"There was quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice. I thought Coulson was going to swoon" Nat said teasingly.
"Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?" Addy piped in with a grin on her face.
The Captain couldn't help but be in awe of the sweet girls' smile.
"Trading Cards?" He asked.
"They're vintage, he's very proud" Addy responded.
The trio approached Dr. Banner, ready to bring him with them to their destination.
Steve walked up to Banner, holding out his hand.
"Dr. Banner"
"Oh yeah, Hi. They told me you'd be coming" Banner said hesitantly.
"Word is you can find the cube"
"Is that the only word on me?"
"Only word I care about" Steve said firmly.
"I actually, am a big fan of your work!" Addy exclaimed.
Banner gave her a tentative grin and held his hand out.
"Dr. Banner, and you are?"
"Adeline Stark, pleasure to meet you! I loved your recent paper on the correlation between nuclear physics and quantum mechanics. They're quite an unexpected pair, but I enjoyed reading it"
Bruce and Adeline continued talking until a whirring sound erupted in the air. Adeline, knowing what this meant, moved back.
"Gentlemen, you may want to step inside in a minute. it's going to get a little hard to breath" Nat said.
"Is this a submarine?" Steve asked.
"Really? They want me in a submerged pressurized metal container?" Bruce scoffed.
The ship begins to lift out of the water
"Oh no, this is much worse"
