chapter 16: rage

*tengen pov*

I got my water as soon as possible and returned to rengoku .I wonder if he woke up. I was walking through the thick forest I wasn't armed I had left my blades next to rengoku . I heard a slight shuffling but I ignored it .

5minutes later

I went to the place where I left rengoku . I looked around to find rengoku missing . Is he awake .
"Hey rengoku , where are you" I shouted . I never got any response .
"Rengoku!" I yelled a bit more worried this time . I looked around because I knew be couldn't be that far because if the sun .
"Rengoku!" I yelled once more to only get attacked by flames . I dodged the attack and found rengoku coming out of the bushes .
"Rengoku , come on let's go " I looked at him and noticed all of his features changing . A two horns were sticking out if his forehead, his body was covered in flame like marks , his eyes were not cat like slits . Rengoku wasn't like this

" U...uzui...leave " he said in a very low voice that was very unusual considering the fact that he spoke loudly .
" Why ? Are we under attack and why are yo-" I was attacked midsentence by.... rengoku?.
"I SAID LEAVE!" rengoku said as he held his arm that was launching the attacks . What is happening to him .
"what is happening rengoku! Why are you attacking me?!" I yelled back at him as I stood in front of him looking at the tree that rengoku's attack had landed.it's destroyed... If that hit me I would have been dead. I was distracted by that tree which had allowed rengoku to launch another attack .
"MOVE!" Rengoku yelled at me making me turn my head at the direction allowing me to dodge once again.
"RENGOKU KYOJURO! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS ?!"I yelled at him calling him by his full name.
"I DON'T KNOW!" He shouted back at me as he cried . What is happening to him?. Is it because he wants my blood ?... No he would attack me completely and wouldn't have went for my vital points .
" Uzui!"
"What" I said as I kept on dodging his attacks .
" Kill me !" What....
I stopped a avoiding his attacks and stood there . No....I would never harm you... . I was lost in my thoughts . Why would he ask me that .
" Please.... Uzui I don't want to hurt you... Please " I heard him say as he cried .
" No...I would never" I replied looking at him . His hand slowly started to move towards me , it was absorbing flames into a orb. I didn't move I stood in front of him. I didn't even prepare my blade for an attack . I just stood there, looking at my now demon best friend.
"UZUI MOVE I AM NOT ABLE TO CONTROL IT " rengoku yelled at me I looked at him as if I didn't hear anything.
"MOVE!" He yelled again. I didn't , I walked towards him as I dropped my blades to the ground .
"UZUI MOVE" I walked towards him.
"PLEASE! MOVE " I didn't stop.
I walked towards him and stood Infront of him . I looked at him . He prepared his attack. He launched it at me . But I managed to say one thing just in time , thinking maybe it would work .
" I trust you rengoku..." I was sent flying by his attack .
"Ahhh!!" I screamed as I felt my body slowly burn up . I don't think it worked . I was stopped by a tree as I crashed into it . I felt my bones break . I felt my skin burning up . I felt blood slowly gush out of my mouth . I felt it all....
" Rengoku....please....control...it " I said to myself before passing out .

*Rengoku pov*

"WHAT DID I DO!" I screamed as I looked at uzui screaming .
I ran behind him carefully because it was still morning . I looked around trying to look for him. I was looking around as I suddenly felt like my body being burnt . I looked at it and found a little ray of sunshine causing me to burn. Thank god it wasn't muzan. I started looking around again to find nothing , my movements were restricted because of all the sun rays . I kept on looking for him. I was searching for him when I was interupted but the strong scent of blood. It slightly made me drool but I ignored it and went towards the place the scent came from. My eyes were filled with tears as I saw tengen smashed against a tree having multiple wounds on his face and abdomen.
"Tengen!" I yelled as I hugged him . I was worried as I found him not responding to my call . I reached my hands towards his neck and checked for his pulse . He is ok...he has passed out from the attack. I looked at him and decided to take him to someone else and leave so that I didn't harm anyone.

Rengoku kyojuro...
Why are you holding back...?
Kill him...

I heard him. Muzan...

Kill him rengoku.... I am ordering you to ...

"No..." I dropped tengen and felt myself shaking.

Do it...

"No....never" I started getting hungry and drool...I looked at tengen...he is passed out...shall I eat him?...
"What am I thinking stop this !" I held myself back and felt my hunger rising.

Why not aren't you hungry?...

" I won't hurt him, I his friend he helped! I won't betray him" I yelled as I gripped my hair .

You are a demon now you are free to do anything and you can turn him into one aswell...
