chapter17: acceptance

*no one's pov*

He looks peaceful... He won't feel anything in his state... He will die peacefully....the flame haired demon was slowly moving towards his prey. Eyes filled with hunger and bloodlust. There was nothing in this world to stop him from having his fill... He was now turning into the very thing he hates a  demon ...

Or so he thought....

Just as he lifted the pillars body to sink his teeth...

"Mizu no kokyū , ni no kata  : mizu guruma...( Water breathing , second form: water wheel )"

( Flash back ) just before shinobu and tengen fought.

"Kid.." uzui whispered to the young slayer next to him
" Yes..." Kai replied as quietly as possible .
"I don't know how rengoku or shinobu might react... You must go to giyu and tell him that I will be deeper into the forest with rengoku " the pillar whispered into the kid's ear.
"Hai, but what about rengoku san will be be normal?"
" I don't that's why I am asking you to go to giyu and call him, shinobu will attack soon, so be quick .on my count "
"Ok"just as he was speaking shinobu attacked them with her deadly blade.
" GO!"

After finding giyu

"Tomioka -sama please go and help uzui-sama he is having rengoku in his arms...." The boy said as he was catching his breath .
"Hmm" and with out a word the pillar was out of sight

(End of flashback )

*Giyu pov*

I went deeper into the forest. It is awfully quiet. It's not the kind of silence I like, in this situation...where could they be . I stopped and focused on my surroundings to find them as fast as possible.  The chances are high that rengoku might try to kill uzui. If he can't control his urge I will have to...kill him... I was still trying to sense something. But I found nothing .

Shinobu must be on the run to find them... I must find them...
"AHHHH!!" I started running towards the sound.

Found them...

I went towards the direction I heard the sound.where are they ?... I looked around to see multiple trees on fire . I went to check and found a trail of flames here there and decided to follow.

I followed the trail to find a massive tree that was slightly on fire and found two figures next to it. Can't see anything because of this smoke... Wait is it uzui.... Is he injured...

I went ahead and saw the man next to it slowly raise uzui arm as though he going to bite it .

"Mizu no kokyū , ni no kata  : mizu guruma...( Water breathing , second form: water wheel )"  i cut of it's arms and took uzui from him . He's heavy I can't protect him while I fight . I looked at uzui who was groaning in pain.

I set uzui next to me and placed my katana to its neck .

" Who are you..."
"No , what are you" I corrected myself .

I looked at the demon the smoke was slowly clearing out making it easier for me see the demon in front of me.
It has long golden and red hair...could it be rengoku... no, he would do that to uzui. I thought as I tried to look into his face because of it staying still.

*Rengoku pov*

I am hungry...

Kill the demon slayers kyojuro...

A voice in my head was asking me to attack then and there but my heart asked me not to...

Kill them or I will 

"I WON'T LET YOU!" I screamed as flames formed around me burning tree around me . It was evening so I knew I wouldn't burn. My rage continued until there was a horn on my forehead and until blood dripped from my left eye . All my thoughts were pushed aside leaving only one in their place.  Food...
Who are these people in front of me?...
Are they demon slayers.... 
That was it I lost memory of the people in front of me . Though they seemed familiar...

I forgot them...

My hunger was rising in a fast pace...
I forgot who I was...

Who am i?...

I questioned myself growling as I stayed there a blade to my neck by the black haired guy...

Until

You are kyojuro one of my demons... You must eat humans and gain strength to get your revenge...

Who are you ? And what revenge?..

Are you forgetting that they betrayed you and has forced you to be on your knees right now ...

I growled louder as I found out what was happening...

I held the blade that was grazing my neck and broke with my hands and in a swift move I used my speed to get behind him and grabbed him by his face and flew up and threw him against the ground , making him cough blood and break his ribs...
