Tesla's Betrayal

We started to crack down on the Clyp Agency. We froze their assets; we attempted to destroy Gelorum, but she escaped. The Racing Drones had been united, and they had one purpose, to race. The Racing Drones searched for interdimensional portals to reach Hot Wheels City. We saw them attempt to reach breaches at Tesla's Complex, but Dr. Tesla stopped them.

Tesla knew that the Drones needed the Wheel of Power. I remember the day he went rogue. He abused our technology to create his car Nitrium. Then he made a huge mistake, one that cost us everything. He designed Nitrium with a device to lure the Wheel of Power from its resting place by tapping into its vibrations. Tesla went rogue and drove off in the stolen car along with GIG which he attempted to reprogram. He stole our technology and lots of government resources. His abuse of our tech, his lack of respect for clearance, and his ego lead to us deciding to stop him before he ruins everything.

Tesla drove through the four legs of the world race until he made it to the Wheel of Power. He was racing against the drones, like them, he wanted the wheel. Dr. Tesla drove up the tower with the Wheel of Power. Nitrium lured the wheel towards itself which allowed the Drones to capture it with their plane. Tesla fell and Nitrium was almost destroyed, Fortunately, Tesla escaped using an experimental Emergency Driver Return.

Subsequently, GIG saved Tesla and he suffered permanent injuries because of the drones. Dr. Tesla started to hide from us. While on the run he built a new headquarters called the Acceledrome. He found a crew of drivers to exploit for his experiments. They included Dan Dresden, Alec Wood, Banjee Castillo, and Lani Tam who served as a mechanic. We noticed what he was doing using GIG as our spy.
