IT WAS AS IF THE WORLD STOPPED for the short moment you and Mina made eye-contact.
"Sorry dudes..!" You heard Kirishima shout from the other side of the wall, a fit of giggles and some yelling happening behind him. "Kat, Kaminari..! Quit it!"
"This is for your own good!" Jirou yelled, the noises finally fading away as the group walked down the hall.
But you really hadn't noticed.
"Hey Mina," you nervously nodded in her direction, glancing briefly toward the door.
"..Fancy seeing you here," Mina replied.
An awkward silence enveloped the air like a blanket; except if you took the blanket off, it was too cold, but it was also too hot under it.
It was the ultimate predicament.
Then, you remembered what Jirou had been talking to you about. Was she preparing you for this moment? You clenched your jaw at the thought. The navy-haired girl had been planning this, hadn't she?
But for some reason, you couldn't find a reason to be mad.
"Y/N?"
At the sound of your name, you turned to look at the pinkette approaching you. Her footsteps were slow and meticulous—hesitant to approach you but coming nonetheless—each click of her shoe hitting the classroom floor making your heartbeat quicken.
Mina finally made her way to you, a pout residing on her lips as she looked up at you. Her golden eyes glittered with frustration. "Can we talk about it now?"
A hesitant gulp slid down your throat. "..Are you sure you want to?"
A hand crept up to rest on your shoulder, making you glance down at Mina. She held stubborn eye-contact with you, the corners of her eyes relaxing as she stared at you.
