YOU NEVER TRULY LIKED hospital waiting rooms. They were glaringly depressing.
Someone had either died, or was gravelly injured or sick. Either option was horrible in itself.
You paced the small hospital waiting room with shaky hands, swerving in and out of the rows of uncomfortable-looking chairs. "Fuck, fuck, fuck..."
"Y/N L/N?"
Your head immediately snapped toward the receptionist desk, your body frantically rushing to get information. "That's me," you hurriedly replied. "How is...?"
"Mina Ashido went through extreme trauma and bone breakage when a collapsing building fell on her," the woman explained, ignoring your look of horror. "Luckily, we had Recovery Girl come in and repair a majority of the damage. She's in H-13."
"You can visit, but Pinky may be—"
Before the receptionist could finish, you dashed away.
"...unconscious..."
You scanned the halls, anxiously entering the hero ward. Your heart beat erratically once you began to catch sight of the room number. With trembling fingertips, you pressed against the door.
"Y/N?"
With a breath of relief, you found Mina sitting up in her hospital bed, looking at you with the same loving gaze you were familiar with. You quickly entered the room, shutting the door behind you.
"...You're okay!" You exclaimed, quietly rushing over and placing your forehead against her's. "I'm so happy..."
"I'm sorry I worried you," she chuckled tiredly, gently rubbing your shoulders. "Really, I'm completely fine now!"
It was only after a few moments of comfortable silence that you groaned aloud, stuffing your face into your girlfriend's curly pink hair. "Let me guess... you won't be coming home today."
