It's been more than a few days and I've set out for the western part of the United States. They've already have started moving after a few months after they purchased the Western territory. It's a hot sunny day here. I've been riding for more than a few days now not stopping for rest trying to find gold. I hear many travelers in many pioneers talking about gold somewhere in the western parts in rivers. Some of that I believe is true some of that I don't. Sweat drips down my face as I continue looking ahead riding on a horse I call Star. Star and I have been walking for a few days she hasn't been mean to me nor aggressive. I guess she wants to keep going is what I think. We just recently came across a split in the road and I'm currently asking myself which way to go. One way is a way with many footprints many horse tracks too telling me that people have gone that way. But on the other hand on the track on the right there is barely any there. They are soon covered by the dust some I just see blow away in the wind. I pull on the strings and Star turns to the right path and we start walking down. I've seen many skeletons of animals, dead bushes around me and star as we walk down the path. Following the path took us a long time, it actually took us most of our day. It's currently midnight now. I continue walking holding Stars leash as I walk beside her. Sooner or later I'm going to actually have to sit on her my knees are giving out and I'm getting tired and weak but I shall not stop. I look around it's an open deserted area I'm walking through it's certainly started to cool off now. It's not as cold as you might think it is but it's definitely cooler than having Sun beam down upon you. I hope onto Star and pats her neck signaling for her to start moving. Star nice and agreement and we start walking down the trail again waiting for something to happen.
