▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃IT'S BEEN NEARLY A WEEK since Klaus betrayed Nathan, Elliot and the rest of the Crescents. Within the week, Gabriella and Laura have tirelessly delved into grimoires and studied countless spells, desperately searching for a way to reverse Dahlia's cursive spell.
Yet, the answers they sought remained elusive, hiding in the shadows of uncertainty. Despite the challenges, Gabriella refused to give up. She believed deep within her heart that there must be a hidden loophole, a solution that didn't require the help of Freya or any other Mikaelson for that matter.
Klaus cursed his son and various innocent wolves including Elliot. All of his siblings hate him for what he did yet none had offered to help Gabriella find a solution. However, there was one exception - Nathan's sister, Riley. In a gesture of kindness and hope, she reached out to Gabriella and entrusted her mother's kitsune grimoire to Laura, in the hopes that it held the key they desperately needed.
Gabriella was grateful for Riley's support. Support is something she's going to need in these circumstances.
As the howl resonated through the velvety night sky of Bayou, Gabriella was jolted back to the present moment, snapping out of her deep contemplation. With a heavy sigh, she released the grip on her seatbelt, acknowledging the significance of this particular night. It was the night of the full moon, the only time when Nathan, Elliot, and the rest of the Crescents would temporarily shed their wolfish forms and regain their human selves.
"Is she sleeping?" Gabriella asked Laura as she exited out of her car and approached the young witch who was sitting with Cassie and Josh on a bench.
They were waiting for Elliot and Nathan to show up.
"Not anymore. The howl woke up," Josh explained.
Cassie looked up at Gabriella with innocent eyes.
"Mommy, is Daddy and Elliot coming?" she asked, her voice filled with hope and longing.Gabriella gently scooped up her daughter into her arms, holding her close. "Yes, princess, they should be here soon."
As if on cue, Nathan and Elliot emerged from the dense woods, their figures bathed in the moonlight. However, their return was marked by an unexpected detail - they were completely naked.
Gabriella quickly stepped forward, her voice calm but firm. "Ah, stay right there," she instructed, her eyes averting their gaze out of respect. "Josh, could you please give them their clothes?"
Understanding the urgency, Josh swiftly reached for the clothes that were sitting beside him on the bench. He approached the two men, carefully handing each of them their respective garments, ensuring their modesty was preserved.
Nathan and Elliot quickly dressed, grateful for the swift assistance. Their eyes met Gabriella's, filled with a mixture of gratitude and determination.
Gabriella's lips curved into a bittersweet smile as Nathan and Elliot approached her. Their presence brought a glimmer of hope amidst the turmoil that had consumed their lives.
"Daddy!" Cassie's voice rang out, her excitement evident as she wriggled out of Gabriella's arms and rushed towards her father. Nathan's eyes filled with tenderness as he opened his arms, welcoming his beloved daughter into an embrace filled with unconditional love.
"Hi, beautiful," Nathan whispered, his voice filled with a mixture of joy and longing. He held Cassie close, his heart overflowing with the love he had missed during their forced separation. In that moment, the world around them faded, leaving only the bond of a father and his cherished daughter.
Gabriella watched the reunion with tears glistening in her eyes, her heart swelling with a mixture of happiness and sadness. Seeing the love shared between Nathan and Cassie reassured her that no matter the challenges they faced, their family would always find strength in their unwavering love for one another.
With a sense of relief washing over her, Gabriella pulled Elliot into a tight embrace, feeling the weight of their recent trials melt away in that moment. The warmth of his presence brought her solace and reassurance.
After a brief moment, Gabriella released Elliot from her embrace, allowing Laura and Josh to welcome him with their own heartfelt hugs. They too had yearned for his return, their expressions reflecting the relief of having him back by their side.
As Nathan and Cassie approached, Gabriella's heart skipped a beat, her gaze meeting his with a mixture of longing and adoration. It had been a week since they had seen each other, and in that time, she had missed the radiance of his brown eyes that held a universe of emotions.
Nathan's eyes locked onto Gabriella's, a tender smile gracing his lips. Time seemed to stand still as they stood before each other, their connection stronger than ever. In that moment, the challenges they faced seemed conquerable, their love a beacon guiding them through the darkness.
Gabriella reached out, intertwining her fingers with Nathan's, drawing strength from their unity. The journey ahead was daunting, but together, they were prepared to face whatever trials lay in their path, fueled by the bond they shared and the love that illuminated their souls.
