SIX MONTHS.

THAT'S HOW LONG Gabriella has been separated from her husband since Klaus had Dahlia cursed him, Elliot and the rest of the Crescent wolves. Spending all of their time trapped in their wolf form until a full moon when they regain their human form.

Laura has been working tirelessly on finding a magical loophole. She even reached out to her sister, Davina, for assistance but as the Regent of all New Orleans Covenants, helping any Mikaelson or those associated with them was an act of war. Though war was something New Orleans hasn't seen since Dahlia's demise. With the wolves cursed and lost, the witches banded together, the vampires were regrouping.

Gabriella found herself asking Carlisle if he or any of the others had any inquiries about the curse, but the last thing she wanted to do was worry them her problems. All she has left was hope and anger, hope for her family and anger towards the man responsible for the curse.

However, as much as she wanted to make Klaus pay, she had her daughter to think about. In the last six months, Cassie's growth has continued to heightened at an alarming pace. She went from five years old to nine during this period. Carlisle still had no idea how or why she was continuing to age, but assured Gabriella that there was an explanation out there. So all she could continued to do is spend as much time as she can with her.

But when she's not with Cassie, Gabriella found herself at the St. Anne Church that has now become fight gym where Marcel tests the mettle of those who wish to join his vampire community. She uses it to as a method to work through her anger and trust, she has much anger.

"Don't go easy on me, this time." Gabriella told Marcel as the duo stood inside of the cage made of chain-link fence and reinforced steel has been placed in the middle of what used to be the main room.

"I would never do that," Marcel replied.

The other vampires evacuate the ring and move to the sidelines to watch as Marcel and Gabriella begin to fight each other.

With a sudden burst of swiftness, Gabriella lunged forward, her movements fluid and calculated. Marcel effortlessly sidestepped, his reflexes honed to perfection. Their dance of combat continued, each maneuver executed with flawless precision.

Gabriella gracefully evaded Marcel's counterattacks. He marveled at her tenacity, his admiration hidden beneath his stoic expression. Her flaming hair whipped through the air as she somersaulted, launching a series of graceful kicks. Marcel countered with a swift spin, his movements akin to a mesmerizing waltz.
