"Think about happy things... The cats, dogs, waterfalls, rainbows"he muttered under his breath trying to calm his shaking hands and steady his quickening breaths. "I shouldn't have listened to that stupid mochi. He always comes up with these disastrous ideas. And I always listen to them. Why do I do this to myself? Aahhh wae???" He continued cursing that stupid mochi aka his platonic soulmate Park Jimin. Don't get him wrong he loved his best friend with all his heart but he was always this confident extrovert who forced him out of his shell at every chance he got.  But today he took that intention to a whole new level. He jokingly wrote a book and his best friend just sent that to a publisher. Like bro what? "Baby, you are the top ranker of our department. You are a literature student and your minor in criminal psychology will make you a kick-ass thriller novelist. This is the first step to that and I will do that for you. And oh don't worry about searching for a publisher. I already sent the copies. Thank me later. Bye " he squealed as he tried to escape from his hits. "-im Mr. Kim " a gentle female voice made him close all his mind tabs and concentrate on the present. "Sir is waiting for you, Mr. Kim. This way, please. " she said ignoring his panicked face and trembling legs. "Oh god, I am gonna fuck this up. I don't even remember some scenes. What should I do?" He thought , promising himself to kill his best friend as soon as he goes back. "Oh welcome Mr. Kim. Thought I would see a man in early 30s. Not a young man like you." Min Yoongi said as he stood up to greet the young author. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Min. And I hope the surprise was a good one." He said as he bowed to the man in front of him. "None of the formalities, Taetae. Don't make me feel like an oldie. I was your super senior in college. Don't act so cold to your best bro. " Yoongi joked as he hugged the other male. "You started it first, hyung. And I had to continue it" said Tae, his face lighting up with his infamous box smile for the first time that day. "I always knew you would be an author but never thought you would go for the thriller genre." Yoongi said as they both sat on the sofa. "Oh it happened after you graduated. I kind of took criminal psychology and fell in love with all that stuff. What about you, hyung? How did you agree to inherit this publishing company?" Tae asked as he settled comfortably in his favourite hyung's presence. "My old man wasn't getting any younger and wanted to keep this as a family run business. So yeah, I agreed to this as long as I could produce my own music." Yoongi sighed as he thought about how hard it was to convince his father. He was a kind of popular music producer and rapper known as AgustD at that time and his father wanted him to leave everything. He didn't agree and had to fight a lot but here he was , balancing both of them. "Anyways let's talk about business first." he said as he put on his serious face which made Tae wonder again how this man was so bipolar. "The concept you took was very unique and the narration style was interesting. I liked the character dynamics but..." There it was, Tae thought. Yoongi was a perfectionist and he was proud of that. He gave either zero effort or gave his everything to anything. And the Arts always have a special place in his heart. This was what he was scared of. He can never impress his hyung. Obviously he can't. He was never enough. He will never be enough. That person was right. "Tae! TAE! You good, babe? You look like you're about to have a panic attack." Yoongi panicked as he opened all the windows to give all the possible air to the boy. "Oh yes , hyung. I am okay. Just had a new idea. Anyways tell me what you didn't like." Tae said as he forced himself to look normal and indifferent. "You scared me, idiot. The book is actually good. I loved the whole thing except the murder scenes.  They felt a bit too unrealistic. Like too much drama was going on with them. Except that everything was great." Yoongi said as he eyed his dongsaeng  for any sign of discomfort. "I wasn't a big fan of them either, hyung. I wanted to research a bit more but the internet wasn't much help and there was no time to refer to books and journals. Jimin just had to go and submit this incomplete work. Obviously they will seem unrealistic." Tae mumbled as his mind quickly spiralled into another self-depreciating session. "Stop underestimating your own talent, idiot. The book just needs some changes and it's gonna be the best seller. It has all the ingredients needed to become one. " Yoongi started saying , forcing him to come out of the trance he put himself in . "Trust your capabilities, kiddo. You have a very innovative mind. It's gonna make you a very good author. Don't degrade yourself." He continued hoping the boy believes at least some of his words. Ever since that person, he stopped trusting his own capabilities and degraded himself for the smallest thing. It broke Yoongi's heart to see him doubt himself and be so harsh on himself. Tae was his little brother in every sense and he feels like he failed to protect him from such a  horrible person. That's the one thing he could never forgive himself for. What if he attended the call earlier? What if he saw the signs earlier? What if he never introduced that fucker to Tae? Maybe it was all destiny but still he blamed himself for the things that happened. He can continue these thoughts later but his first priority right now is stopping the boy in his arms from overthinking."Tae, thrillers are a hard genre to write and as far as I know, yours is completely logical except for a few scenes. It's okay to not be well versed in everything. I will help you perfect those scenes and we are going to make this the best seller of the year. " Yoongi reassured the boy in his arms who looked better as the moments passed. "Are you sure that I can do it ,hyung?" Tae questioned as doubt still  lingered in his eyes. "I know, bub. I am Min Yoongi. I am a genius. These words should be enough to believe me." he said making the other boy smile his infamous boxy smile.
"Jimin ah , where are you? I brought your favourite ice cream" Tae shouted as he collapsed into the cool black leather couch. The said person slowly tip toed into the room as he made sure that his best friend isn't planning his funeral judging by his voice. "I guess the meeting went well." He said as he opened the ice cream and sat beside his best friend. "Yeah, it was okay I guess. We discussed the book for a bit. The contract was as good as it could get. But we both decided that most of the fight scenes and the murder scenes require a more realistic approach. So yeah, it's gonna take time to publish it but I feel confident to publish it."Tae said as he gratefully accepted the ice cream his mochi fed him. "I know that, bro. You're made for great things. I already told you. You  shouldn't doubt yourself so much." The blond haired guy said as he ruffled the other boy's hair. "You're my best friend. You obviously say that." He huffed as he got up to escape the torture his hair is going through. "No, you brat. I love you but not that much. I know when I see talent , babe. Otherwise I wouldn't be such a great choreographer." Jimin said flexing his own talent making the other laugh. "I thought that you knew Hobi hyung was the one who actually ran the group alone." He joked fleeing to safety in advance as he knew the coming situation. Jokes apart, his best friend was one of the finest dancers he has ever seen. He and his Hobi hyung practically ran the university's dance team. Anyone who saw them perform would agree that they were literally made for dancing. His mochi makes him very proud but he doesn't need to know that. "That's it, you dingus. I will kill you today. Get your ass here. You're dead in my hands." The said mochi warned as he ran after his best friend. "I can't anymore. I surrender. Oh fuck. Oh my god." Tae gasped as he tried to escape from the tickle monster that is his best friend. "That's more like it, you brat. Anyways, enough with play. Tell me about what you both decided about the book." Jimin asked as he helped Tae up from the ground. "Yeah, I am gonna balance it along with the part time job and uni. It's gonna be our vacation soon. So it shouldn't be a big deal. Right?" Tae said as he looked at Jimin for reassurance. "Well, we won't know until we try. Jin hyung will understand if you ever miss your shifts and I will help you anyways. So it's gonna work out, babe. " He said reassuring his best friend. "Oh well, here we go..." Tae said as he slid into his best friend's arms.
