Before Being Handed by the Shikon Jewel:
Souta was just ten years old when he first incountered sesshumaru.
One day, while wandering in the forest with kikyo, they meet upon a demon who wanted to eat them and was saved by Sesshomaru. Souta couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the man, who looked strikingly similar to his favorite character from the anime he had loved so much. But of course he still have to pretend that he didn't know
As he got to know Sesshomaru better, he realized that he had fallen in love with him. However, he also knew that Sesshomaru's heart will belonged to Rin in the future, who he would meet many years later. Despite this knowledge, Souta couldn't help but feel a strong desire to be with Sesshomaru.
Day and night, he thought of Sesshomaru and how he could win his heart. Even though he knew that Sesshomaru and Rin were meant to be together, he refused to give up. He loved Sesshomaru with all his heart and couldn't bear the thought of being without him.
One day, he decided to confess his feelings to Sesshomaru. He found the demon lord in the forest, walking to the tress. Souta mustered all his courage and ran after Sesshomaru .
"Sesshomaru, I know that you are demon, but I cannot keep my feelings for you hidden any longer," Souta said, his voice filled with emotion.
Sesshomaru looked at him curiously. "What kind of feelings?"
Souta took a deep breath and say I can't help how I feel about you. I love you, Sesshomaru," Souta confessed, his voice trembling.
Sesshomaru stood still, look at the human and observed him carefully. As a demon and being told by a human especially a priest that he love him only a lunatic would believe.
And souta who realize what he had did turned bright red, But he didn't regret it. Souta could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he stood before the demon lord.
Sesshomaru's expression remained unreadable as he stared at Souta. Finally, he spoke, "Souta, I cannot return your feelings. I am a demon and you are a priest we cannot be together.
As souta he walked away, Sesshomaru called out to him, "But I respect and admire your courage to confess your true feelings, Souta. It takes bravery to do what you just did. You have my respect."
Souta turned back to Sesshomaru, feeling a glimmer of hope in his heart. Perhaps there was still a chance for him to win Sesshomaru's heart one day.
But Sesshomaru continued, "However, it does not change the fact that we cannot be together. It is not just our different races that make it impossible, but also our different paths in life. I have my own responsibilities as a lord, and you have your duty as a priest. We must both fulfill our obligations, and it is not fair to ask either of us to abandon, but our different paths in life. I am a powerful demon, with duties and responsibilities that I cannot overlook. And you, Souta, are a priest whose duty it is to serve and protect humans. Our worlds are too different, and our lives are too distinct. It is better if we keep our distance."
Souta felt his heart shatter into a million pieces, but he knew that Sesshomaru was right. He understood that demons and humans were not meant to be together, but he won't accept what sesshumaru says because Kagome and Rin are humans but they got together with demons.
"Thank you for your kind words, Sesshomaru," Souta replied softly. "But I will not give up, I will always admire you from afar. I hope that someday you will be able to accept me.
Sesshomaru remembered when he first saw souta:
Sesshomaru had been wandering through a forest, his mind occupied by thoughts of his half-brother.As he walked, he sensed a disturbance in the air. A powerful demonic aura was nearby, and as a demon himself, Sesshomaru could not ignore it. He followed the energy to a clearing, where he found a young boy wielding a stick as he walked, his sensitive ears picked up the sounds of a scuffle nearby. Intrigued, he followed the noise until he came upon a young boy, no more than ten years old, fiercely attacking a demon with a stick.
Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow in surprise; most humans would cower in fear at the sight of a demon, let alone try to fight one. But this boy seemed to have no fear, and was surprisingly skilled.
The demon, sensing Sesshomaru's presence, turned and fled. Sesshomaru watched it go with disinterest, then turned his attention to the boy.
"What are you doing here, child?" he asked, his voice low and calm.
The boy was breathing heavily, but stood up straight and glared at Sesshomaru with determination. "I was trying to protect my sister," he said, his voice shaking slightly. "The demon came after us, but I wouldn't let it hurt her."
Sesshomaru felt a small spark of admiration for the boy's bravery. He recalled his own experiences as a child, facing demons and dangerous situations with only his strength and wits to protect him.
"You are a brave one," he said. "What is your name?"
The boy hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Souta. What's yours?"
"Sesshomaru," he answered.
Souta's eyes widened in recognition. "You're the demon lord, aren't you? From the stories my grandpa tells me."
Sesshomaru didn't feel the need to correct him; he had grown used to the fear and awe humans had for him over the years.
"You should not be out here alone," he said, changing the subject. "Where is your sister?"
Souta looked down at the ground. "She's...she's back at the village. We got separated when the demon attacked."
Sesshomaru nodded. "I will escort you back. It is not safe for a child to wander in these woods."
Souta looked up at him, eyes wide with surprise and gratitude. "Thank you, Sesshomaru," he said softly.
As they made their way to the village, Sesshomaru wondered at his own actions. He had no obligation to help the boy, or even to care about his wellbeing. But he found himself strangely invested in keeping Souta safe.
Perhaps it was because of his own past, when he had faced similar dangers and struggled to survive. Or perhaps it was simply because Souta's bravery had impressed him.
Either way, Sesshomaru found himself pondering the encounter long after they had parted ways. The memory of the young boy, fighting bravely with a stick against a demon, stayed with him for a long time.
And now tell him that same boy just confess to him..
