Not much else happened at the gender reveal party. People congratulated them on having a girl, Y/N excitedly bouncing around and telling anyone who would listen about all the things they were going to do together from tea parties to football until Lizzie had to step in, kissing him to shut him up.

The next morning, Lizzie is enjoying a peaceful sleep until she hears the shuffle of feet entering the room, followed by her boyfriend saying 'stop squirming' repeatedly.

"Lizzie," he whispers.

She groans rolling away from him but the sound of his feet on the carpet moving to the other side is hard to miss since he's so heavy footed.

"Lizzie."

"What?"

"On a scale of one to ten, hypothetically, how mad would you be if I caught a lizard and brought him inside to keep as a pet?"

As soon as the word hypothetically left his mouth, she knew he wasn't being hypothetical.

"Y/N, I swear to god if you brought a lizard in here..."

She opens her eyes seeing Y/N smiling and holding a lizard. She groans running her hands over her face, closing her eyes again.

"Y/N put the lizard outside."

"But-"

"Now Y/N."

"But Lizzie-"

"I won't give you a kiss till that lizard is outside and stays there."

She looks at him, the concentration clear on his face as he looks between the lizard in his hands and his girlfriend.

He huffs getting up and walking out as she rolls her eyes. She pulls a pillow over her face and groans.

"What have I gotten myself into?"

After a few minutes, she hears Y/N's footsteps coming up the stairs before the bedroom door opens.

"Did you wash your hands?"

"No..."

She points at the bathroom and he walks in, washing his hands before running back out and jumping on the bed.

"Can I have a kiss now?"

She cups his cheeks kissing him softly as he hovers over her. She pulls away looking at the goofy smile on his face making her smile.

"I can't stay mad at you."

"Good."

He kisses her cheek before putting his head near her stomach.

"Not much longer till we get to meet our princess."

Lizzie smiles watching him stroke her stomach affectionately. She runs her fingers through his hair making him smile. She notices the look on his face changing.

"What's wrong?"

He looks up at her.

"How do you always know when something is wrong?"

They both sit up and she pulls his head onto her shoulder making him smile.

"So what's wrong baby?"

"Do you think I'll be a good dad?"

"I know you're going to be a great dad. What makes you think you won't be baby?"

"I don't have the best parents."

She kisses his head.

"Well you aren't them. You're you and you will be an amazing dad to our little girl."
