A few days had passed since you moved to Santa Carla and you has settled into your new home nicely, Granny Elaine had been treating you well and charged a reasonable amount for rent, you think she was being too nice but you couldn't complain. You still needed to find a job, the cash you had saved would only last so long, so that's what tonights mission was.

Granny had told you most places that paid well only opened at night so you decided that's when you'd head to the boardwalk to look around.

Night came around fairly quickly and you bid a quick goodbye to the old lady as she told you to stay safe (you knew you'd be fine but she didn't know of your.....ability so to say). The boardwalk was brimming with life and colour as people enjoyed the amusements it had to offer, the occasional group of Surf Nazis as Elaine had informed you would cause chaos for some poor soul trying to have a good time. You shook your head and popped in and out of shops to see who was hiring.

The shop you had just entered was a movie store, right up your alley, you were a complete movie nerd and knew this would be perfect if they had a place going. You walked up to the tills and asked the girl behind if they were looking for any extra help at the moment, she smiled at you then left to a back room to grab the owner. She returned, followed by a tall man with greying brown hair and circular glasses.

He gave you a kind smile and stuck out a hand which you accepted to shake. "Good evening, I'm Max, the owner of the shop and I hear you're looking for a job?"

"Y/N, and yes I just moved here so I'm trying to find somewhere that will take me, I have to say I love your shop I've always been a bit of a movie nerd," the man looked quite pleased to hear you praise his shop and you internally smirked knowing you may have just charmed your way into this job.

"Well Y/N I like your attitude, we'd be more than happy to have you, how does an 8 - 12 shift sound to you?"

"That sounds perfect sir, thank you so much I promise you won't regret this," you beamed and he laughed at your enthusiasm.

"Are you available right now to do a trial shift and see how things go?"

"The only other thing I'd be doing right now is exploring so yes I'm free," you responded to the older mans request.

"Brilliant then I'll let Alice teach you how things work and I'll see you at the end of your shift." He smiled one last time before disappearing into the office at the back. The girl from before, who's name was Alice beckoned you over to her and showed you around the shop.
