Collecting the Male Leads’ First Nights
CH 28

Because Sylvia was not someone who wouldn’t go even if he stopped her, he had no choice but to follow her to make sure things don’t go wrong. With that determination, Sevis diligently stitched the dolls’ eyes.
As he concentrated on stitching the eyeballs, the number of finished dolls increased one after the other. His shoulders were numb, and it seemed as if his eyes would fall out after he went over 50 dolls like that. After a short break, he got up and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
As he was preparing the vegetables he had bought and making a stew with spicy seasoning and chicken cut into pieces, Sylvia came to the kitchen, rubbing her eyes.
After three hours had passed, the status abnormality had cleared up. Sylvia felt like she had endured it for ten years.
“Are you awake, Miss Sylvia?”
“Yeah. Ah, it was a difficult day.”
It wouldn’t have been a bad day if that message hadn’t popped up, but as a result, today was the worst day.
‘I shouldn’t use my skills without thinking from now on. And my karma… ugh.’
Her karma seemed to go up when she did something a little suspicious or when she was lazy.
With the addition of 50 points from the speech at the pyramid workplace, Sylvia’s karma totaled 160. If she didn’t want to go to slothful hell, she had to be careful with her karma day and night.
Sylvia watched as Sevis stirred the pot and prepared dinner.
‘Did Sevis bring me here? So that’s what happened.’
Since she fainted halfway through, she couldn’t remember exactly how she got home. After coming out to the entrance of the hotel with Luca’s help, Sevis’ face entered her faint vision, and when she woke up after getting on the carriage, it was now.
So, while she was out of it, Sylvia missed a precious scene. Perhaps Sylvia would have cried tears of joy if she had heard the conversation between the two men, but she had sadly passed out due to her feeble condition and couldn’t hear anything.
In her faint memory, there was only a vague memory of two men talking in mumbling voices.
While Sylvia tried to remember what had happened before, Sevis closed the lid of the pot and lowered the fire, then took off his apron and looked back at her.
“It’s not dinner time yet, but I prepared it in advance because I was impatient to continue attaching the eyes on the dolls.”
“Looks delicious! Ah right, what happened earlier? The business owner… It looked like you were fighting with him.”

Sevis’ complexion brightened at Sylvia’s mention of the business owner.
‘So he was unilaterally pretending to be close to her.’
Sylvia tilted her head and looked at him, who was smiling.
“It was nothing. Ah! Is there anything you need to talk about with him?”
“I don’t think so? I’ve received all the payment.”
She could find Luca anyway if she wanted to. Besides, she did not need to contact the poisonous Luca right now. Rather, it would be troublesome if she was asked to make a speech once more while keeping in touch for no reason.
At her words, Sevis crumpled the business card in his pocket and smiled broadly.
Sylvia also smiled, not knowing what he meant, then went back to her room and picked up a doll without eyes. As she sat down on the carpet and earnestly put the eyes on it, Sevis came back from the kitchen and looked at her with a worried face.
“Can you put the eyes on the dolls in that condition?”
“I think I’m fine now? Let’s work hard until dinner.”
Sevis nodded silently, even though he was worried about Sylvia’s condition.
The two sat down on the carpet and eagerly attached the dolls’ eyes. Sylvia glanced at Sevis while attaching the eyes, her face darkening as she noticed that his clothes had become worn out. As they were full of lint, they didn’t seem to be good at all.
‘I can’t believe that cute Sevis met a bad master and is wearing ragged clothes… Ugh.’
Sylvia quietly asked Sevis.
“Sevis, now that we have over 10,000 gold in funds, should we go and buy some clothes?”
Sevis had brought back about 4,000 gold today from selling the marbles.
In addition, Sylvia received the money from cleaning the temple and preaching on the street, plus the 1,000 gold she received today for promoting the jade floors, so their funds exceeded 10,000 gold.
‘So maybe we can buy one or two clothes?’
However, Sylvia’s smiling face turned dark again at Sevis’ subsequent words.
“Then, when will we buy a house…?”
“Ah… Shall we save some money on food? I can eat just vegetables.”
Then Sevis shook his head.
“Miss Sylvia, vegetables are even more expensive…”
“I see…”
Sylvia’s shoulders went down at Sevis’ realistic words.
The fact that she couldn’t escape being a beggar after making money for a day or two was just like reality.
There was no way she could become rich with just over 10,000 gold in funds. Weren’t the jade floors Luca was selling 10,000 gold each? What kind of game world had such a severe difference between the rich and the poor? The pushovers at the venue were shouting, saying that 10,000 gold was cheap.
Sevis, who looked at her pityingly, sighed deeply and then opened his mouth again.
“Clothes… Let’s go to the relief market.”
“So there’s also a relief market…”
When Sevis said to go to the relief market, Sylvia’s shoulders drooped even more as if she had no will to live. At Sylvia’s dispirited face, Sevis’ fingers, which were holding the doll, twitched, and he opened his mouth again.
“Shall we buy new clothes? In return, we will have to eat soup for a while…”
“No. Clothes from the relief market are better than rags. Let’s go get some clothes.”
‘When am I escaping being a beggar? Ah, it’s depressing.’
Sylvia vowed to play the game more diligently. She didn’t know the amount of money she would get from attacking the dungeons would get higher and higher. When she first started the game, 100 gold seemed to be a lot, but by the time she reaches level 10,000 and gets one million gold, won’t she become rich and easily buy weapons?
‘I desperately want to get stronger.’
She wanted to be strong and give Sevis some of the most expensive clothes she could find.
How happy would he be then?
Sylvia promised to buy clothes with Sevis at the relief market after going to the temple part-time tomorrow.
‘I also need to go to the secret shop. Though I don’t think there’s much I can buy there.’
The two of them, who were depressed for a moment, smiled again and talked about their trip tomorrow.
* * *
In the morning, Sylvia meaninglessly rummaged through the closet to get to work.
‘Although it’s a similar raggedy outfit, let’s change into something with a little less lint.’
Today, it was goodbye to these ragged clothes.
She was thinking of going to the secret shop for a moment if there was time. There were some conditions that she had to do to run towards the wall, but wasn’t she only going to break her nose when she tried?
In addition, she was very excited about what kind of items would be in the secret shop. If there were items that can help with the game, even if she couldn’t buy them right now, she could keep an eye on them and buy them later. If there were clothes that helped her stats, it would be good to buy them right away.
As she walked out the door after having breakfast, Sevis smiled and saw Sylvia out.
“See you later, Miss Sylvia. After we go to the relief market, let’s buy some delicious food from the stalls!”
“Wow! Just thinking about it makes me excited. See you later!”
Sylvia started walking as Sevis sent her off. She had also invested her undistributed points in agility on her day off, so her steps became as light as a feather. Excited, she walked as if dancing towards the temple, refreshingly doing the cha cha cha steps. Even though I walked while dancing, as her agility had risen, she was able to reach the temple earlier than usual.
After arriving at the temple and being asked by the old priest to organize the books, Sylvia headed to the library.
‘Where would Mr. Noel be?’
Sylvia, who was walking down the corridor, softly walked up to the brass bowl and stuck her head outside like a soft-shelled turtle. Then, she turned her head around and looked for him, but there was no one in the back garden.
‘Here he is! … Not.’
With a disappointed face, Sylvia tucked her head back, walked with her hands behind her back, looked around, and opened the door to the first prayer room without notice.
‘Here! He’s not here either…’
She opened all the prayer rooms in the hallway just in case, but Noel was nowhere to be seen. As she was nervous, Sylvia’s mouth dried up by itself.
Noel was the only character she could target right away, but she hadn’t even seen him for a week because he was on a business trip, so she had to meet him today. Now that he was back from the business trip, he had to be somewhere in the temple. Her faith had increased a lot in the meantime, but she couldn’t help but be frustrated, wondering where on earth he was.
She didn’t know how much faith she needed to avoid the punishment, but she needed to hit on him… no, she needed to target him as soon as possible to advance to the next part.
Sylvia sighed, grabbing her throbbing head.
After entering the library, Sylvia looked around and searched for Noel once more. Since he organized the books with her last time, she thought he might be in the library today too. And sure enough, she could find a lemon-blonde hair in front of a bookshelf in the back of the library.
Maybe because it was early morning, Noel was sorting out the books with a slightly tired face. She could see him sighing from time to time. He had dark circles under his eyes, perhaps from not sleeping properly.
There was an old saying that said beauty was prevalent even when frowning. As the dark circles that others tried to get rid of were placed on a handsome face, there was that kind of story, and he couldn’t look sad.
‘That face that turns dark circles into an accessory…’
Today, Noel was adding sorrow and creating the appearance of a handsome man who was soaked in melancholy.
Sylvia was in good condition because her agility had just gone up, and her body was light as if she were flying into the sky. She found Noel and, excited, she silently approached the blonde hair. Even when she stood behind his back, Noel didn’t notice her at all as he seemed to be distracted by something. She giggled inwardly, then touched his back with her fingers and shrieked.
“Boo!”
