Clark's pov
Metropolis, Daily Planet 4.45 pm

"I'm sorry. You should have told me earlier" I said after a few moments of thinking.
"I don't like to remember that. But I like it here. Metropolis is the complete opposite of Gotham" she said wondering.
"Well, thank you. Aliens arrive only once in a week to try to conquer Earth" I said laughing, and she smiled too. I think we finally broke the ice between us.
"Gotham is much worse than that. Can I ask you something?" I nodded "Do you know who Batman really is? Do you know each other's secret identity in the league?"
"Well, the leaders know everyone's secret identity, but the heroes can tell each other their real name if they want. We don't have a very strict rule about that" I said with a shrug.
"And do you know where Batman lives?"
"I don't like where this conversation is going"
"Please. I want to thank him what he did for me" she said whispering. I considered my chances with Bruce and finally came to a decision.
"I ask him, and if he says yes, I'll take you there" I said and she nodded.

Gotham, Wayne Manor 8 pm

We were flying above the city. Dawn's eyes were covered so she won't find out who Batman really is. I wore my Superman suit and looked down the city. Dawn was right, the perfect opposite of Metropolis.

I called Bruce around six o'clock. He said yes, but I think he's planing something. Somehow I trust him less when it's about work since we are together. He is very unpredictable.

I used the back entrance to the cave and put Dawn down. She took down the sheet from her eyes and looked around in amazement. Bruce wasn't there so I called him on the radio. He didn't answered, but the elevator started to move down. The elevator arrived and when the doors opened, Bruce Wayne stepped out.

"Bruce Wayne. So you live in a cave" Dawn said mockingly.
"You didn't expect to see me, did you?" he asked smiling and Dawn smiled at him too.
"No, I didn't expect you. You have a much better disguise than Clark" she pointed back at me.
"Great, now you can both bully me with this" I said and Bruce burst out laughing. I always forgot how much I love when he's laughing.
"I'm sorry, but glasses doesn't count as a disguise" Bruce patted my shoulder and walked to the computer.
"No one has figured out who am I yet" I said and Dawn looked at me in disbelief.
"And what about the people in Gotham?"
"They don't count. Gotham is weird" I said and Dawn giggled a little at that.
"I wish Gotham was just weird" Bruce said staring at the screen.
"What are you up to?" I floated next to him and Dawn came closer too.
"Nothing" he said, but it was hardly believable. He was always up to something.
"Really?" I asked and he sighed resignedly.
"Fine, I sent out Dick with Stargirl and Firestorm. I'm just keeping an eye on them"
"You won't go out tonight?"
"No, Dick asked me to do this because I have to travel abroad for four days. He wants to prove that they can take care of the city on their own, so I can rest sometimes" he said still staring at the computer. He must be very worried about Dick.
"Bruce, they are superheroes. They can protect each other. Anyway, I think that's very kind of Dick"
"Yes, very nice, but I think he's using some sort of magic on me because I can't say no to him. He's confusing me all the time"
"How does he call you?" Dawn asked quietly.
"Bruce, why?"
"Nothing, I was just curious" she said.

"Well then, I don't want to be rude, but I'm waiting for my lover and you're still here" Bruce said after an hour of talking and my head turned as red as my cloak.
"Okay, we're going home. Clark, could you please take me home?" Dawn asked.

I said yes and after we said goodbye to Bruce, I took her home. We talked about work and of course about Bruce. I said goodbye to her after I took her home and then flew back to my love.
