Bruce's pov
Gotham, Wayne Manor 8 pm

"Clark, we have to go if we don't want to be late for the event" I warned and he appeared next to me super fast.
"Have fun, guys" Dick came out from the library with Clare and Ron. I let them stay at Dick's for the night. They'll go on patrol then they can do whatever they want.
"Thanks. Have fun with you too" Clark smiled at the children.
"If you need any help, call me. Don't do anything stupid, okay Dick?" I said and he rolled his eyes.
"Yes, father. I won't burn the house down and Alfred will be here anyway" he said and gave me a hug. "We'll be okay" he said and let me go from the hug. I sighed and nodded.
"Shall we go?" I asked Clark, taking his hand and leading him to the car.

Gotham, Gotham Knights Sports Dome 8.30 pm

We arrived at the party and separted our ways. Clark went of to do interviews and I acted like playboy Bruce Wayne.

I donated one million dollar to the Gotham Knights. I didn't want to wait until the end of the party so they couldn't thank me. I hate it when I have to go on stage for this. I always feel like I'm too rich for Gotham because I won't miss that money, but it will change the whole life of the people.

After a while I got very bored. I went up to the stands and I saw that somebody is already there. A little girl around the age of ten. She hasn't noticed me yet, so I was able to take a closer look at her.

She was wearing a beautiful white dress and she had long brown hair. I couldn't see her face, but I thought she came up here because she was bored too. She leaned her head on the railing and looked at the ball below.

I drank up the rest of my champagne and sat down next to her. She looked up at me frightened, so I looked away from her and watched the ball instead.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you. I came up here because I was bored. Hey, my name is Bruce" I smiled at her and we shook hands.
"Nice to meet you, Bruce. I'm Anne" I think I earned her trust, so I started a conversation with her.
"So Anne, why are you sitting up here?"
"I was bored too. I didn't want to come here. I have no one to talk to only adults like you"
"I know exactly how you feel. My parents also took me to such events and I didn't enjoyed them. This is your first?"
"The second. To be honest, this is way more exciting than the first one was. It was a tea party"
"And you don't like tea partys anymore?" I asked laughing and she laughed too.
"Not with old people talking about politics" she said and we laughed even more.
"Would you like to dance?" I asked and she looked at me excitedly.
"Yes, I would love to"
"Then come with me" I said and grabbed her hand.
"But wait, I don't know how to dance"
"Don't worry about that, I'll teach you"
"Okay, but don't laugh at me if I do it wrong" she said sternly and I promised her I won't do that.

We went back to the ball. I took her hand and led her to the dance floor. A few people looked at us strangely, but I didn't care.

I put her left hand on my arm because she didn't reach my shoulder, and I held her other hand. I placed my right hand on her back and guided her while dancing. Maybe the music was too fast for a beginner, but she was very focused not to step on my feet.

She got pretty into it in a couple of minutes, but she still made mistakes. When she did a mistake again I laughed.

"Hey, you broke your promise!" she said outraged and I started to laugh harder.
"I'm sorry Anne, but you need to relax. I'll lead you, just follow my steps, but you mustn't look down" I said and she nodded.

She only looked into my eyes and contentrated on the music. We danced perfectly at the end of the track.

The band started to play a new song and Anne looked at me questioningly.

"I can teach you more if you want" I said smiling and she nodded gratefully.

Clark's pov

"They're so cute"
"Bruce Wayne has really changed since he has a son"
"I think they are the best couple of the night"

I heard such sentences everywhere while I was trying to discuse the interviews with Dawn.

"Are you all right Clark? You're acting quiet strange" Dawn noticed and I tried to focuse back on her. I did it well until I didn't catch this frase from an older dame:

"That Wayne boy and the young lady are the reason why we're trying to help people"

I couldn't take it anymore. I turned away from Dawn and started to look for Bruce.

I don't think he's cheating on me. He would never do that to me. He loves me and this could be only a misunderstanding.

I said to myself, but when I found him all my worries disappeared. He was dancing with a really young lady, a little girl. They were laughing nonstop at something and had a good time. I think seeing this just made me fall in love with Bruce even more. My only problem was that all the women in the room felt the same way.

"Wow, this is the cutest thing I ever saw" Dawn said and I blushed. "You're looking quiet jealous, Clark" she said just to make me blush even more.
"I'm not jealous! I'm just..." I didn't finish my sentence because Bruce and the girl suddenly stopped dancing. It appeared that the child's parents wanted to take their daughter home. I used my super hearing to hear what are they talking about.

"We are so sorry, Mr Wayne, if she bothered you too much this evening" the parents said pulling their daughter closer to them.
"She didn't bother me at all. In fact, we could dance again at the next event if you want" he said kindly to the girl and she nodded with a huge smile on her face.
"That's very kind of you Mr Wayne, thank you" said the father and they shook hands.
"Well, good night"
"Good night" the family said and they left the ball.

Bruce turned around and almost immediately saw us staring at him. I blushed a little when he came to us.

"On a scale of ten how jealous was he until he knew I was dancing with a little girl?" Bruce asked from Dawn and my whole face turned red this time.
"I'd say eleven" she said and they both laughed.
"Okay, I think you can stop it now" I said embarrased.
"Yeah, you're right. We should go home now. This party is dead" Bruce said as he drank another full glass of champagne in one go. "What? I was thirsty. I've been dancing for an hour without rest and they only serve alcohol here" he said when he saw the look I was giving him.
