donghyuck huffed as he entered his friend's living room, chucking his phone onto the couch before letting his body follow only a few seconds later.

"this is so unfair!!" donghyuck groaned into the couch cushions, flailing his arms and legs around like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

doyoung, donghyuck's friend, watched the younger male with an unimpressed look before grabbing donghyuck's ankles and dragging him off the couch, caused the younger to fall onto the carpet underneath them.

"ow! hyung, what the fu—"

"life is unfair. now stop acting like a child before I throw your ass outside onto the cement." doyoung threatened as he glared down at the younger male. "my house, my rules."

donghyuck groaned as he attempted to sit up, but instead opted on just laying back down on the fluffy carpet underneath him.

"ughhh!! fine! whatever." donghyuck rolled his eyes and pouted as he stared up at the ceiling.

the older man standing in front of donghyuck just sighed before running a hand through his soft, jet-black hair.

"uh, oh." a sudden, but familiar, voice was heard approaching the duo in the living room.

another guy, around doyoung's age, entered the living room from the kitchen with a cup of coffee in one hand, his phone in the other.

as soon as the guy's gaze landed on the purple-haired boy sprawled out on the carpet under them, he just chuckled and rolled his eyes.

"please don't tell me I just walked in on another one of baby hyuckie's tantrums?" the guy questioned in a playfully condescending tone, adding a little pout when donghyuck glared up at him.

"I really, really hate you. you know that, right, ten-hyung?" donghyuck grumbled under his breath in a low, but audible, tone as he glared at ten.

ten smirked as he sat down on the now unoccupied couch.

"oh, I know. the constant whines and need for my attention totally give it away." ten smugly said before taking a generous sip of his coffee.

donghyuck scowled at ten before going back to staring up at the plain, white ceiling.

another guy around doyoung's age entered the room and was about to walk past the trio when he suddenly stopped in his tracks and raised a brow at the purple-haired boy on the floor.

"uhhh, what is hyuck doing on the floor? and, uh, why exactly is he sulking??" the guy questioned as a look of concern flashed over his face.

"I'm not sulking, kun-hyung!" donghyuck protested. "I'm just observing the beautiful paint job done on the ceiling!!"

kun's eyebrows furrowed as he followed donghyuck's gaze and looked up at the ceiling; plain, white, and bumpy. not to mention dusty as hell too.

"uhhh...right..." kun awkwardly voiced out as he turned his gaze over to doyoung, who simply just rolled his eyes.

doyoung sighed as he sat down next to ten, snatching the coffee cup out of the younger's hands and taking a generous sip himself.

"I—...excuse you, whore." ten rolled his eyes and muttered in a snappy tone as he leaned back into the couch, glaring daggers into doyoung's soul.

"hyuck's just upset that we have to go on that summer field course thing for school." doyoung explained, ignoring ten's sassy attitude.

"hey! I have every viable reason to be upset!!" donghyuck quickly defended himself as he finally shot up to his feet, no longer laying down on the carpet.
