Sasuke was tired. He had just finished a business meeting with an important client who had taken over three hours of his time. Now he was on his way to another meeting. A lunch meeting with his boyfriend.

He smiled when he saw the familiar café. It was situated just a few blocks away from his company, and Naruto's school (A/n: he's not a student, Naruto's a teacher) making it just a walking distance away from each other. They often have their lunches there, on a specific table by the window that overlooked the street
He frowned when he saw Naruto wasn't there yet, usually he was the first one inside. Loosening his tie, he entered the café, the bell above making a soft jingling sound.
It was a cozy, homey café with warm colors. It reminded him of Naruto's old apartment from some years ago, this is why he loves this place so much. It was affordable for Naruto, and nostalgic for him. Win-win
He ordered two slices of cake for himself and Naruto as well as coffee.
He sat by himself on their table, waiting for his blond to show up. Maybe his students were giving him a hard time? He never understood Naruto's passion for teaching small unruly brats when he could do so much better, like become a lawyer(like his father did) and his culinary skills could land him a high paying job as a chef in a distinguish restaurant. But instead, his blond chose to be a humble teacher at a public school, taking care of snotty brats for hours every week.
Still, Naruto never complained and he always seems to look forward to teaching his kids everyday. He's also well beloved by the staff, parents, and children
Sasuke found himself smiling a bit as he imagined Naruto with his students, looking tired but still energetically keeping up with them.
An hour had gone by. Still no Naruto. Sasuke had already eaten his cake, and he was beginning to feel impatient. He had sent Naruto at least fifteen messages asking him where he was and if he wouldn't make it to lunch
The blond left no replies, which made him worry.
It was now 2pm and he needed to get back to his office for his meeting with his father. Pissed off, Sasuke paid for his meal and left the café. Naruto's slice of cake remained on the table, wasted.
On his way to work, he passed by a ramen stand. And there, eating ramen and sharing laughs with two other men, was his missing boyfriend Naruto. "Hey!" He snapped walking over to them. Naruto looked up and brightened up when he saw Sasuke approaching, only for his smile to fade when he saw Sasuke's scowl
"Sasuke, hi, have you had lunch yet?" Naruto tried to make space for him on the plastic bench. "You can join us-"
"I waited for you for an hour, where were you?" Sasuke growled. "Huh?" Naruto cowered under Sasuke's heated gaze. "What do you mean?" He pulled out his phone and switched it on. "And why weren't you replying to my texts?!"
"Hold on pal, there's no need for you to yell at him" a brown haired man with two red upside down triangles on each of his cheeks said, glaring at Sasuke. "His phone died and he had to charge it, so he couldn't reply to you"
Sasuke hated how close the brunet was sitting next to his boyfriend.
"Sorry, Sasuke, the class ran later than I thought and...I forgot about our date" Naruto mumbled the last part.
Sasuke stood there, glaring at Naruto and his companions. He glared at the brunet who was giving him the stink eye and the quiet red head who looked like he didn't like him either.
"I'll see you at home" Sasuke said coldly before walking off to his company building without another glance at the blond. "Sasuke wait!" Naruto stood up and jogged after his boyfriend.
"So that's 'Sasuke' huh?" The brunet said to the red head, who only just nodded.

It took a while and a few pleadings before Sasuke decided to hear Naruto out and explain to him. They were at Sasuke's private office and the raven was sitting behind his desk, arms crossed. Naruto nervously smiled, feeling like a student explaining his stupid actions to his teacher
He explained that his lesson had been interrupted by a fight that broke out between three of his students and it took him and another teacher to separate them. They were all sent to the principal's office, they being Naruto and his students where they spent at least thirty minutes lecturing the boys and reprimanding them for their actions.
"Why didn't you text me about it?" Sasuke raised a brow
"My phone's battery was super low, so I had to shut it down and charge it. By the time me and my boys were out of the office it was already twelve" Naruto blushed. "But I still wanted to finish off the lesson since, it was almost done when Konohamaru, Inari and Haruhi fought"
"I see..and those two you were with?" Sasuke remembered the glaring brunet and red head.
"My co-workers. Gaara is the red head, he's the English and history teacher while Kiba is the PE teacher. There was a power outage earlier so classes had to be cut short, Kiba suddenly offered to take me out for lunch, and we met Gaara along the way"
"Don't hang out with them anymore"
"What?" Naruto frowned
"I mean you can be friendly with them but don't get too close with them, I don't like the way they looked at me"
"You can't expect me not to get close with my co-workers, it's a small school Sas"
"Just...just" Sasuke gritted his teeth. "Just please keep your distance from them, especially that Kiba guy" he softened his gaze to look at Naruto. "Can you do that? Please..for me"
Naruto's frown vanished and he sighed, giving in to his boyfriend's wish. "Alright fine....I'll, try to keep my distance from Kiba and Gaara"
