For the past several months Sasuke and Naruto have barely seen each other because of missions and Hokage meetings. Whenever Naruto tries to sneak away from his duties to spend time with his lover, he gets dragged back into the office by Shikamaru. "I hate how motivated he's become at forcing me to work...I miss the lazy Shikamaru!" Naruto would whine in his head

Sasuke's missions meanwhile take him away from Konoha for long periods of times. And whenever he arrives home, Naruto isn't always there to greet him because the blond is stuck in the Hokage tower doing his paperwork.

Whenever Naruto comes home after his battle with his paperwork, he's much too tired to give Sasuke a proper greeting. He barely even looks at him or touch him

That's why today, Sasuke planned to do something special for his blond boyfriend. It's not always that Sasuke does something grand for Naruto, it's often times the blond planning parties or events for the two of them

Sasuke decided to take two weeks leave and prepare a candle lit dinner for Naruto and he, then after dinner they could remind each other of what they felt like by making love.

Just thinking about it made him smirk in anticipation.

"Here you go sir" said the cashier as he handed him the candles. Sasuke nodded and paid for his items, before leaving the store

On his way out he dialed Naruto's number on his new phone. Something he's only recently started using

He put it against his ear and waited for his blond to answer

"Sasuke, hey" greeted Naruto. Sasuke smiled when he heard Naruto's tired, gentle voice. He can imagine Naruto scratching his head as he placed an elbow against his desk, phone pressed against his ear. "Do you have any meetings later on?"

"Huh? Uhh, no not really--..thank God too you know?" Naruto chuckled, relieved.

"Have you finished any leftover work?"

"Yeah I'm just wrapping up some merchant deals, I'm almost finished, we can have dinner together tonight!" Naruto gave a loud cheer of excitement. "We can finally eat together Sasuke, I miss you"

Sasuke smiled softly, imagining his blond blushing as he said the words 'I miss you'. His blond never failed to make his heart beat fast, even after three years of dating

"I miss you too" he whispered. "I'm on my way to you right now, I just need to...drop some things off, wait for me I'll come pick you up, I want us to walk home together"

"I'll wait for you then. I know we live together and everything, but I miss you a lot. We haven't properly seen or talked to each other in months because of your missions and my hokage duties"

Sasuke couldn't help but release a chuckle. "It's alright, I understand"

"Can we eat at Ichiraku's?"

"No"

"Oh come on! It's been months since we last ate together there!" Naruto complained

"I already have...plans for tonight Naruto. We'll be eating at home, I'm making dinner" Sasuke said. Naruto shuffled on the other line "Hmm...I'll let you have your way because your cooking skills is godly--..just not on the same level as Ichiraku!"

"Whatever you say Dobe, I'll see you later" Sasuke said with a smirk before hanging up

Naruto is really excited to see his boyfriend again, he hasn't kissed or held Sasuke in weeks
