I arrived to the coffee shop beyond excited. Uniform on, head held up high, I walked in with a huge smile.

“Good morning Naomi!” I say cheerily.

“Morning Mari! Excited for your first day?”

“Of course! I honestly thought I was going to cry when you guys didn’t call me for like two days after the interview!” I went to the interview the day after the call. Our boss, Missy, was calm and collected until she asked me about how on earth I got the boys to refer me. I told her the story of that drunk night, and how I need money to go back home. I didn’t want to lie, but I didn’t want her to hear the parts where I was dead drunk. Luckily, she didn’t seem to mind once I handed her a signed copy of the boy’s CD. She was beyond ecstatic. We hear the familiar boom of music come from her office. Naomi groaned.

“Honestly, I’m getting tired of hearing the CD. But I think that’s the main reason why you got the job.” We both giggled. After about 4 hours, I went on my break. I walked home to see that all they boys are going crazy. They all stopped and someone turns off the stereo that was booming just moments earlier once I walk in the door.

“What… the… fuck?” I say, dumbfounded. The house was an absolute mess.

“You and Liam were gone so we had a mini party.” Says Lou sheepishly. Great. Now I’m their mother? I walk around the living room with my mouth open. I quickly turn to them.

“You know you have to get this cleaned up right? No way in hell I will clean this up.”

“AWWWWWW!” they all said. Right on cue, Liam walks in, carrying groceries. His jaw drops when he looks up and sees the mess.

“Long story.” I mumbled. He just nods his head and heads into the kitchen. Niall runs after him.

“LI DID YOU BUY CHIPS??” I just laugh and walk into the kitchen. I see Niall pestering Liam as he puts away what he bought.

“Please?”

“No”

“Please?”

“NO!”

“Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeeeeeee?”

“Bloody hell Niall! Here!” Liam throws the bag at his face. Niall rips open the bag and starts to stuff them into his mouth. He sees me and offers the bag.

“Want some?” he asks after swallowing what he had in his mouth. I grab some and stuff it into my mouth. Liam was looking at me surprised.

“What?” I ask with my mouth full.

“Niall just shared his food.” I laugh as he stood there, still in shock. I grab the last soda from the fridge and headed out.

“I’m going back to work, I’ll see you guys at 3!” I yell as I walk out the door. Five voices sang through the house.

“BYE MARI!” I laugh as I start heading back to the shop.

I return home utterly exhausted. So many customers decided to come today, and it was only me and Naomi. I enter the house and flop down on the couch.

“MARIE!!” Yells out someone. Instantly a body flies over the couch and lands on top of me.

“OW!” I yell. I push off the body and see that it was Harry, laughing.
