Carlo walked alongside Anna at the bustling airport, his parents' departure weighing heavily on his heart. He couldn't help but feel a mix of sadness and frustration as he thought about Joy's absence during their visit.

Anna glanced at Carlo, her eyes filled with concern.

Anna: "Hey, Carlo, I can tell something's bothering you. Do you want to grab a coffee or tea? We can talk about it."

Carlo let out a deep sigh and nodded. They made their way to a nearby café and found a quiet corner to sit in.

Carlo: "Thanks, Anna. I don't know where Joy is right now. She couldn't make it to the family dinner, and it's been a recurring theme lately. It feels like I'm being pushed to the sidelines like my presence doesn't matter to her anymore."

Anna listened attentively, her warm gaze offering solace.

Anna: "I understand how you're feeling, Carlo. It's difficult when the person we love doesn't seem to prioritize us or show the same level of commitment. Have you talked to Joy about how you feel?"

Carlo let out a small chuckle, mixed with a hint of sadness.

Carlo: "I've tried, Anna. We've had arguments, heartfelt discussions, and promises made, but it feels like a broken vow. I feel unloved and uncared for, like I'm not a priority in her life anymore."

Anna placed a comforting hand on Carlo's shoulder.

Anna: "Carlo, sometimes people come into our lives for a purpose, and their time with us may not be forever. It's important to remember that you deserve to be with someone who appreciates and cherishes you. If Joy can't give you that, maybe it's time to reassess your relationship."

Carlo pondered Anna's words, his mind swirling with thoughts and emotions. He knew deep down that he needed to have a serious conversation with Joy and express his concerns.

Carlo: "You're right, Anna. I need to have an honest conversation with Joy about how I've been feeling. It's important for both of us to reassess our priorities and figure out if we're still on the same path."

Anna smiled, proud of her friend's determination.

Anna: "I'm here for you, Carlo. Remember, your happiness matters, and sometimes making difficult choices is necessary for your own well-being. You deserve someone who will love and cherish you wholeheartedly."

Carlo nodded, a sense of clarity washing over him.

Carlo: "Thank you, Anna. Your friendship means the world to me, and your advice gives me strength. I'll have that conversation with Joy, and whatever happens, I know I have amazing friends like you by my side."

They finished their coffees, their hearts lighter with the support they shared. Carlo knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with Anna's guidance and the newfound clarity within him, he was ready to face the challenges and make the necessary decisions for his own happiness.

Carlo sat in his car, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. He took a deep breath and dialed Joy's number, feeling a mix of nerves and sadness.

Carlo: ringing "Hey, Joy. Can we meet up? There's something important I want to talk to you about."

Joy: hesitant "Sure, Carlo. Where do you want to meet?"

Carlo: "Let's meet at our favorite café. I'll be there in fifteen minutes."

Joy: "Okay, see you there."

Carlo's heart felt heavy as he drove to the café. He knew that this conversation would be difficult, but it was necessary for both of them to evaluate where they stood in their relationship.

When they arrived at the café, Carlo found a quiet corner and waited anxiously for Joy to arrive. Soon enough, he saw her walking through the door, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern.

Joy: "Hey, Carlo. What's this important thing you wanted to talk about?"

Carlo took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking.

Carlo: "Joy, we need to have an honest conversation. Lately, I've been feeling like we're growing apart. Our priorities seem to be misaligned, and it's taking a toll on our relationship."

Joy's eyes widened, and she took a seat across from Carlo.

Joy: "Carlo, I've been feeling overwhelmed with work, but that doesn't mean I don't care about us. I thought we just needed some space to breathe and figure things out."

Carlo sighed, his voice filled with sadness.

Carlo: "Joy, for me, this space feels like a step towards breaking up. I need someone who can make me a priority, just as I have always made you one. It hurts to see our love fading away."

Joy's eyes filled with tears as she struggled to find the right words.

Joy: "Carlo, I never meant for you to feel unloved or neglected. My career is important to me, but so is our relationship. Maybe we can find a way to balance both."

Carlo nodded, his voice tinged with resignation.

Carlo: "I understand that, Joy, but it's been months of feeling like I'm fighting for something that's slowly slipping away. I need to prioritize my own happiness too."

Silence hung heavy between them as they both contemplated the gravity of their words.

Joy: "Carlo, I still love you. I don't want to lose you. Can we take some time apart to reflect on our relationship and see if we can find a way back to each other?"

Carlo looked into Joy's eyes, his heart aching with conflicted emotions.

Carlo: "I love you too, Joy. But I think it's best if we take this time to evaluate where we stand individually. If we're meant to be together, we'll find our way back."

Tears streamed down Joy's face as she reached across the table, gripping Carlo's hand.

Joy: "Please, Carlo, don't give up on us just yet. Let's give ourselves a chance to rediscover the love we once had."

Carlo's voice cracked as he spoke, his own tears welling up.

Carlo: "I don't want to lose you either, Joy. Let's take this time apart, but let's be honest with ourselves about what we truly want and need in a relationship."

They sat in silence, their hands still intertwined, acknowledging the uncertainty that lay ahead. It was a heartbreaking conversation, filled with love and pain, as they both agreed to make space and time to reflect on their relationship.

Carlo knew that this was one of the toughest decisions he had ever made, but deep down, he hoped that their love would find a way to overcome the challenges they were facing.
