Bella's pov

After we decided to go out, Maria went upstairs so she could change clothes and fix her hair.

I'm sat on the sofa, writing some shit in my notes app. I still can't believe everything that happened, her mom was so cruel to me and to her own daughter, I'm hurt but I need to focus on Mary, she's the one who makes me happy.

"Do you love this little thing?" Keeps echoing in my mind

I'm so lost in my thoughts that I forgot to hear

- Earth to Bella, heyyy, my love are you alive? - Maria says showing up in front of me

- Yeah yeah, I'm just out of myself, sorry. - I say getting up

- Bells, how are you feeling? - The girl asks, placing her hand on my cheek.

- We should forget about what happened, Mary. I'm ok. - I lie, looking at Maria's eyes.

- I'm here for you, my love. If you need to talk, please do. - She says smiling tenderly

- I know, I know. But let's go, we have New York to explore. - I say trying to change the subject and heading to the front door

- Alright, let's get going!

Maria's pov

We're in Bella's car, heading to a super nice jewellery store. I'm excited to buy a special bracelet for Bells,
but I wonder why they're taking me there anyway.

- Not questioning your plans but why you wanted to go there, before exploring the city? - I say staring at Bella.

- We're about 5 minutes away from the place, love. You'll find out soon. - They say smiling at me

- That's the most british thing I've ever heard. - I say laughing

- And is this a bad thing? - They ask smirking

- You calling me "love"? I definitely could get used to it. - I say smiling

- You're so cheesy, but I love you for that. - They say turning their attention to the road

I'm just smiling, everything was so crazy this morning but all I can remember is eating the ice cream they brought me, being on bed with them and right now laughing like idiots.
My mother is awful and I'll never forgive her for what she did to Bella. I prefer to not think about her words.

I shake my head trying to get away from the bad thoughts and then I turn my face to Bella.
Gosh they're so beautiful.

- You're so beautiful, you know? - I say smiling tenderly at them

- What? - They ask in a confused tone

- I said you're beautiful, Isabella. Is it so hard to believe? - I say laughing

- I'm sorry. I just don't know how to react. - They say blushing

- You're blushing!!!! - I say excited

- Shhhhhhh!

- Gosh, I made the great Bella Ramsey blush! - I say in disbelief

- If only you knew half the things you make me feel. - They say laughing

Alright I'm dead!!!!!!! Wtf did they mean? I just look away and focus on the road.

We're quiet, just listening to "Cigarettes after sex" songs.
Eventually we arrive to the store, Bella finds a spot to park and we get out of the car.

- Ready? - They say offering their hand for me to hold

I nod and take their hand, we get in the store.

- Hey guys, feel welcome! Anything, I'm here. - A sweet lady says coming to our way

- Thanks! Actually we'd appreciate your help! What are the options for rings? I wanted something creative and meaningful. - Bella says looking at the lady

Wait... rings? Omg it means that.... Oh my goodness.

- I'll bring some for you two! Just give me one minute! - The attendant says smiling and leaving for the inventory

- Bella, is this what I'm thinking? - I say confused

- It depends, what are you thinking? - They say smiling sarcastically

- Ramsey!!! Are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend? - I say smiling widely

- Are you going to say yes? - They ask chuckling

Instead of answering, I just run into their arms and lay my head on their shoulder.

- I love you so much Bella, more than anything. - I say tearing up a little bit

They break the hug and look at me. Bella wipes my tear and then smiles.

- You know, it wasn't in my plans to do so today. I wanted to do something big to really surprise you.
But after everything that happened and after seeing how you defended me, I just couldn't wait anymore. This is simple but it's the two of us here, choosing a sample for our love together.
I love you, Mary. And I can't wait to call you mine.

I don't think I could be happier than I'm now. Did they really say all that? They love me that much?
I'm so fucking lucky!!!!!!!

- So it means you're not my fake girlfriend anymore! You're my cool and hot partner!!! - I say laughing

- Cool and hot? Gosh you're so lucky. - Bella says smirking

- And apparently narcissist too. - I say, playfully slapping their arm

- You're mean!!!!!!! - They say smiling

- It's not like you didn't know that - I say chuckling

Narrator's pov

The lady came back with some options for the love birds.
They were so happy while looking the rings. Maria is smiling at the options and Bella is just admiring their girl

After a storm a beautiful rainbow is formed, their love is the personification of a rainbow and they couldn't be more grateful for that.
Bella finally found someone who loves and respects every single thing about them.
And Maria found her home and safety.

They chose a golden, thin, full of colourful crystals, ring. 'Cause they think their love is golden and this narrator couldn't agree more.

Gosh I love these two so much!!!!! I couldn't be more invested in this story!!! So incredibly delusional.
