Maria's pov

I wake up on the kitchen's floor, Louise is next to me.
My head hurts and I could die here peacefully, ugh I hate to get drunk.

Damn we slept the whole day, I don't remember anything. I grab my phone and there's billions of missing calls, from my father, Sebastian, Taylor and oh my goodness, Bella.

What the fuck did I do?

Before I could check anything, I hear someone knocking on the front door obsessively.

- Couldn't you be louder? - I think to myself

I open the door and oh it's Bella.

They look miserable, Bella's eyes are deeper than ever, they look so tired. But beautiful, always beautiful.

(MARIA- BELLA)

- Bella, what are you doing here? - I say trying to remain cold.

- You said your bed missed me. - They say trying to smile

- Excuse me? Why would I say that? - Damn what's happening

- You don't remember, right? - Bella says sarcastically

- The last thing I remember is you kissing my ex girlfriend. - I say raising my tone

- Of course, that's so convenient! What about saying you hate me, on internet? Do you remember? - They say crossing their arms

Wait, what are they talking about? Instead of answering, I just keep looking at them.
Bella seems to realise my confusion and takes a deep breath.

- Maria, you posted a picture some hours ago. The caption was something about, you hating me and being hotter than Joy. - Bella says holding their laughter

I frow to the information, damn I'm never drinking again. I cover my face with my hands.

- Do you want to come in? - I say trying to avoid their eyes.

- I would love to. - They say surprised and smiling.

As we both enter, I notice that Louise isn't on the floor anymore. I assume that she's showering.

Bella sits on the sofa of the tv room and I sit beside them.

They're looking down while playing with their rings and I'm just staring at the action.
The silence and the tension between us could be cut with a knife, that's worse than the day we met.

Oh the day we met! We were both so nervous, I said atrocities and Bella was so shy.
"It was interesting meeting you, fake girlfriend"

I just smile at the memories.

- Where's your mind at? - Bella says breaking the silence

- On the day we met. - I say finally looking at their eyes

Bella sighs and then smiles at me. A short smile but a smile.

- How we ended up here, Mary? - They say in a tired tone

- I prefer to not know, Bella. - I say tearing up

They sit closer to me and then wipe my tears.

- What truly happened between you and Joy? - Bella says carefully

I take a deep breath

- I met Joy one week after I broke up with Sebastian. I wasn't sad about breaking up but, I was so scared that I'd loose my best friend. Joy helped me to forget about all my problems, she was so cool and free. But 2 months after we started dating, she became the devil.
She would say terrible things about me, about my friends and controlled my life every single minute.
One day I discovered she was cheating on me, so I broke up with her, 2 years ago Bella, not in May as you implied. - I say in a trembling voice
