6. Coming Back

"Are you ready?" Rachel asks David.

"As ready as possible", David answers. "How will this work?" He asks looking at Gold.

"This will help you to control the flames", Gold says giving David a pendant. "If Snow White is down there then this will help you to find her as well."

"Alright", David says taking a deep breath. Apparently he's nervous.

"The Netherworld", Rachel begins but stops on seeing David's confused look. "The room full of flames is for those who have already woken up from the curse."

David looks at all of them confused. "Then how will I find it?" He asks.

"We are relying on your expertise", Gold says. "Now here is the needle." Gold hands Regina a needle.

She swirls it in her sleeping potion. Henry hugs David and they say goodbye. David turns to Rachel.

"Be careful", he says.

Rachel laughs dryly. "Not me you", she says. "Get the message through and I will be alright."

David pricks his finger on the needle and falls asleep. Henry stays near David watching over him.

"Why is he not waking up?" Henry asks worriedly.

"Don't worry Henry", Regina says reassuringly. "I am certain everything is alright."

Regina, Rachel and Gold exchange a look which says neither of them believe it.

"He can't wake up yet", Rachel tells Regina and Gold in a low voice.

Gold and Regina look at her confused. "What do you mean?" Gold asks.

"They are not really there in the Netherworld", Rachel explains. "They can't touch each other there forget kissing."

"Then we are in trouble", Gold says calmly.

"How are you so calm?" Regina asks her voice rising slightly. Rachel looks at Henry to make sure he hasn't heard anything.

"Keep your voice low unless you want to alarm Henry", Rachel scolds Regina in a whisper.

Regina looks at Henry to check if he is paying attention to their conversation. "And why didn't you say anything before?" She asks.

"Didn't think it was that necessary", she answers smirking.

"Henry's at school", Regina informs Rachel and Gold. "Didn't want to go but I managed to convince him after a while."

"Good", Rachel says. "He being here prevented us from discussing any other plans."

Regina looks at Rachel skeptically. "I thought Mary Margaret, David and Emma are your friends", she says.

Both Gold and Rachel laugh. "Please", Rachel says. "If I have friends amongst heroes then I have lost my touch."

"So what you two are friends?" Regina asks.

Rachel looks at Gold waiting for his answers as well. "More like have same goals", Gold answers.

"As long as our interests align we will work together", Rachel finishes.

"What about him?" Regina says gesturing towards David and ending their previous conversation.

"He cannot be woken until Mary Margaret comes back and gives him True Love's kiss", Rachel says.

"I doubt he has been able to get the message through", Gold says.

"Allow me", Rachel says walking over to David.
