"Bu!" I call out to his voice as I grab the phone from Shin's hand.
"Bu! It evil!" I sobbed into the phone before brother questions what I'm talking about which I hand it back to Shin so he could explain to brother what had happened, he hands it back to me once done.
"Hey little man no need for the tears because you know why!" He asked which I tell him no.
"Because you have your big brother by your side to protect you, always. So whenever you feel that you're alone, sad, or even sacred just remember you have me always." I smile at the wonderful words brother spoke which caused my tears to dry up at the thought of always having him by my side like a best friend and a father.
"Even Uncle Shin, Uncle Waka, Grampa Sano and Ashi?" He chuckled before saying them too.
"Me too always!" I happily reply back and said I love you right before Shin have to end the call, he takes the edge of his shirt to wipe my cheeks clean.
"You good now?" I nod before noticing a lollipop being holding out to me by Waka which he push it towards me to take it.
"Thank you, Uncle Waka." He freezes after processing my words making us laugh which he rolled his eyes at us before I turn to Grampa Sano besides us and thanked him too.
"Ren this two are my friends, Benkei and Takeomi." Shin gestures to the two men sitting next Waka so I give them two a shy wave before unwrapping the sucker and put it into my mouth before slipping off of Shins lap to see what else is still inside the box, pulling on his pant leg I point into it. He reached back in to pull out a worn book which is filled with fairy tells when I take a quick look through it, I place it next to the T-Rex before seeing a old toy gun with a few darts getting pulled out which my eyes got big and sparked at. I loaded it and shot it at the floor to see how much force it has which isn't much for an old plastic toy before I noticed the ball in Shin hands, laying the gun down I take the ball.
"Play outside with me?" I asked him while gesturing to the front door.
"Ok but only until dinner." I ran ahead of him to wait in the street that's for pedestrian walking only, Benkei and Waka comes out with Shin.
"I want Unlce Waka on my team!" I grab his hand to lead him into the street and behind to be my goalie while Shin choose Benkei to be his, I place the ball in the middle before standing in front of Waka and noticed Grampa Sano sitting at the front door watching with Takemoi.
"Go!" We both ran to the ball but I kicked it before he could and got it passed him, by the time Shin need to get dinner ready the both of us are tired unlike the other two but they had to leave taking Takemoi with them and once back inside the house I lay down on the couch to rest while hearing Shin in the kitchen right as the three teens returned.
"What got you tired out?" Brother asked after founding me worn out on the couch.
"Me, Unlce Shin, Unlce Waka, and Ben played ball." I showed him the old ball that had been laying next to me.
"That's good." I quickly climbed over the back and hold my arms out to him.
"Monkey back!" That's what I'm now calling when I'm attached/clinging to his back just like a monkey but he questions what I'm talking about.
"Back, your back." While lifting an eyebrow he turn his back to me and I immediately attached myself to him.
"Monkey back!" He say oh now understanding what I mean.
"Bu, can we pway ball after we eat?" I asked as he move us into the kitchen.
"We'll see." I lean my head against brothers back with my eyes closed.
"How's he holding on like that?" Emma asked when she looked up from her homework at the dinner table to see Brother walking in only to once my little arms hanging onto Brothers waist.
"Don't know but he sure loves it." Suddenly a finger poked my side causing me to jump only to find Mikey standing behind us when I turn to look.
"Hello there little monkey." He put his hands on my sides to take me off of Brother but I tightened my grip in Brothers shirt.
"It's ok" I look up to see Brother looking at me in the corner of his eye and he gives me a nod so I let Mikey take me off which he places me onto his own, I quickly latched on before resting my head on his shoulder.
"And we have lift!" He started jogging through the house while making airplane sounds.
"And now we're flying over Paris, look! You can see the Eiffel Tower reaching into the sky and over the clouds!" He passes Brother before jogging over to Emma.
"Here is the statue of Lady Liberty! Standing over the large city of New York and guiding it's people to freedom!" I laugh with joy as he jogs by Shin.
"Mikey be careful with him!" He calls after him as we leave the kitchen.
"Go Mikey!" He immediately stops after the words left my mouth and he quickly take me off to hold in front of him.
"What did you just say?!" He runs the kitchen.
"Say it again, come on, say Mikey!" His face is lite up like a Christmas tree as he trys to get him to say his name again.
"Bu!" With a smile on my lips I watch his face fall before pouting and everyone in the kitchen started laughing.
"Emma homework away and help set the table, Everyone dinners ready!" She quickly shuts her books and takes the plates from her older brother to set the table which Shin filled them after her, they did the same way with the drinks. Mikey put me into the high chair which I immediately started eating after thanking everyone, I kick my feet back and forth while thinking about taking pity on Mikey.
"Will you play ball with me after we done, Mikey?" Everyone freeze while Mikey's eyes sparkling.
"He said it, he said my name!" He jumps out of his seat.
"Say it again, please!" He runs around the table to stand next to me but Brother catches him around the waist with his arm and dumped him back into his chair before retaking his own he had next to me.
"Apple plwase." I had already eaten everything on my plate now wanting something sweet and juicy to settle my dinner so I pointed to the bowl of apples in the middle of the table, Grampa Sano quickly peels and slice an apple before handing to Brother so he could hand it to me.
"Mikey? Bu? Ball?" I hand him the ball after Brother let me down from the high chair and played with my new T-Rex toy while waited for everyone to finish up with their dinner.
"You guys go on and I'll wash everything, you three better do your homework after!" Shin calls after us which three reply with okays.
"Bu on my team!" I shouted as so as we're on the street soon it me and Brother are against the other two, through the game which we got competitive at I did fall and scraped my skin a few times but I quickly ignore it to continue on with the game. By the end I'm dead on my feet which Brother had to carry me in or I'll drop, he sits me onto the table before Shin comes with a small medical kit which he hands it to Brother so he can bandage my scrapes and I watch him with droopy eyes.
"Bu me swpeey" I yawned.
"Why don't you two stay the night? He doesn't look like he'll make the ride back home." After giving it a thought before nodding in agreement, we quickly do our night routines while dancing around everyone else and I immediately fall asleep when my head hit the futon that me and my Brother will be sharing.
