Chapter 2: Meeting And Reuniting

Y/N'S POV

I've been walking for quite a while now so I Decide to change the direction, I Decide To turn to the left as I see a street in the distance, I begin to walk slowly toward the house, I Stand in front of the of the cement path that leads up to the house as I Stare At the house in admiration, it's a small pale grey house with a slanted roof covered in darker Gray, the front porch is beautiful as it has deck floors, a table with three chairs and a few danty plants, Out front there's a clothing line with multiple towels and a 1976 Ford Pinto and a 1971 Ford Galaxie, I know this since 010 was really into cars so he taught me about it, I Stare At the building in awe, it looks super homey, I Finally build up the courage to knock on the door, I Walk up to the building and knock gently, hoping for someone to tell me where a nice shelter is, just for me to stay, I won't tell them that obviously I'll just tell them I want to find somewhere to sit, I here light chatting through the door, letting me know someone's home, but nobody answers the door, how strange, I knock again but nobody answers, the door is unlocked so I carefully and quietly twist the door knob, as soon as I open it I get immediate looks from everyone, there's two adults, ones a lady and one's a man, the lady has beautiful brown hair and brown eyes, she has a fringe and is wearing a red top with a white border, the man has a small beard and a moustache and is wearing a blue polo with pink-ish peach leaves all over it, looks very umm, tropical I guess? They Stare At me very confusingly, I then look over to the couch, there's 6 kids who look around my age, on the couch is a kid has short black-ish brown-ish hair and his face is scrunched up, nice, Next to him is a guy with dark skin and dark hair, cool, next to him is a girl with red firey hair and a red, blue and yellow striped t shirt, then there's someone on a hard chair, He has a bowl cut and Is wearing his sock up to his thighs, infact,  All Of them are, by now, you can probably tell I'm very observant. Then finally I turn to a girl in a soft single couch, she has short hair and- wait a minute, "Eleven?!" I say excitedly, I don't know if it's her but it looks EXACTLY How I remember her, "oh my gosh, Y/N, is that you?" She says as she covers her mouth in shock, I slowly walk up to her as she stand up and begins to walk towards me, I quicken my pace and quickly wrap my arms around her, "oh my gosh, it's you! It's been so long, you finally escaped!" She exclaims, "I know right! What a coincidence that I find a random house prepared to pretend to ask where shelter is and I see you! How have you been!!" I exclaim back at her, "I'm was pretty good but now I'm even better!! Let me introduce you to everyone! Don't worry they know about the lab and stuff so you can trust them" She says excitedly, I never knew that I would ever see eleven again,  I'm also super curious about these people, could I trust them? I mean Eleven said they knew about the lab so, I guess I'm going to have to just trust the process, Eleven then drags me over in front of the couch so everyone can see me, immediately snapping me out of my thoughts, she then starts to point at everyone and say their names, "guys, this is my friend Y/N I told you about, she's from the lab as well, Y/n that's my boyfriend Mike Wheeler, next to him is Lucas Sinclair and Max Mayfield, they are also dating, then there's Will! There's also Dustin bit he's at summer camp, but he's coming over in two days, Oh and also over there  that's Joyce and Hopper, they helped me settle in and Hopper adopted me" she explains to me, Joyce then starts to walk over to me, she bends down slightly so that she can most likely talk to me easier, "Hi Y/N, how are you sweetie? It's a pleasure to meet you My name is Joyce, Will's Mom, how about I'll make us all some tea and we can sit down and chat and get to know you more, how about that?"  Joyce recommended, she  seems sweet, Will must be really lucky to have her as a mum, I softly nod my head at her idea as I'm willing to get to know everyone better, "thank you so much that would be lovely" I thank her, I look over to the others and they all nod except for Will, "Mom stop being a kiss up!! Not everyone needs to have a chat over tea!" He yells obviously Embarrassed by his Mom's actions, Everyone giggles softly and Joyce heads back to the kitchen to make tea, I was so caught up in what Joyce was saying that I didn't even see Hopper behind her, he walked up to me and shook my hand, "nice to meet you, Y/N, make yourself at home" I smiled at him and sat down next to Max On The Couch as Eleven went to sit down next to Mike, I took a second to think as everyone went back to their conversations, I Also see Mike giving me some weird looks, All Of A Sudden, Max turned to me and stuck out her hand, I'm gonna have to get used to shaking people's hands, "Hi, I'm Max, I Just Wanted to say it'll be nice to have another girl around, sometimes the boys are just, bleh, that is if you choose to stay, also just a heads up Mike might be an ass at the start but he'll Warm up to you eventually, you'll just have to give him some time" she welcomes me, that made me feel better, I Mean I don't know any of these people but at least Max is good, she seems cool, she also must have noticed Mike giving me looks, "thanks, although our situations are different they kinda aren't, I don't know why but there wasn't much girls at the lab, but hey, Que Sera sera" I explain to her, she smiles, "if you don't mind answering, do you know other languages? I wouldn't expect the lab to teach people that? No hate just curious" she questions, I smile, it's good to know she's interested, she's definitely a keeper, "Of course! I Don't Mind answering any questions you have, ask away! And yes, they do, but not everyone, you see there's to different type of kids at HNL, There's Projects And Subjects, Eleven is a Subject and I'm A Project, That's Why I Have 'good grammar', Projects get taught extra things and have special privileges like grammar lessons, L.O.T.E,  (Languages Other Than English) we got to go into a gym to do whatever, I'd do laps which is ironic since I have asthma, but yeah, by the way "Que Sera sera" means "What will be will be" in spanish"
I Clarify, she nods as she gives me a interested look, "that's cool, I never knew that, hey if you ever go to school with us which you most likely will, again if you choose to stay, then maybe you could join the schools track team!" She tells me excitedly, I nod, obviously I'm going to stay, but there's a fee technicalities, "that would be so cool!! I've always wanted to join a track team! Also I'm like, 99.99% sure I'm staying, it's just I don't have anywhere to stay" I tell her, she nods and looks down with her finger on her chin, she then pops her head up, "you could just stay with Hopper! Before you think anything like, "isn't that illegal?" Don't worry he's the chief of police, doesn't really matter, anyways I'm so excited to hang out with you more!" She then hugs me and we continue to talk for a while.

TIME SKIP

Me and Max continued to talk for a while, she also introduced me to Lucas who is also pretty cool, I talk to them fora little longer until Joyce comes in with a try with a teapot and 9 teacups and a few biscuits, Hopper and Joyce sit down, Joyce Clears Her Throat to gain everyone's attention and she starts to speak up, "So, Y/N, Tell us a little bit about yourself" I Sit up properly and get comfortable and start to explain myself, "Well I'm 14 years old and I've grown up in Hawkins Lab, Eleven already knows this but I'm A Project not a subject like a Eleven so basically we got special treatment like grammar lessons, gym time, L.O.T.E, numeracy ect, My favourite animals a Y/F/A, And Yeah, so that's a little about me, I also have superpowers which are Extrasensory Abilities, (going into the void) Mind Control, Mind Reading, Element Control and Teleporting but if you don't mind I think it's better if I show you when, Dustin... I think his name is? Well when he is here, so yeah" I Calmy explain, they all nod and say whoa or cool or something like that, we chat for a little longer while drinking tea and eating biscuits.

Chapter 2! I think this one was pretty good! This is unfortunately the last chapter of the day, but I might post more tomorrow but I do have school so just a little warning, anyways have a good day!
