"Umm... Beom-ah. Can you set the table?" Yeonjun calls from the kitchen. preparing a last minute soup for Kai to eat, since the boy can barely drink. he hopes Soup wouldn't be too hard for the boy to eat.

"but.. Hyung is not here yet.." Beomgyu replies, eyes wary and concerned for Yeonjun, who seemed to have locked the whole "Soobin not answering thing" in his mind and continued as if things were perfectly normal.

truth is, things are far then being normal. and they know it.

it's not like Soobin to be two hours late to dinner. not answering his phone. it'd be less concerning if Soobin didn't promise them that he'd bring dinner. Soobin would at least call, and tell them to figure out something else to eat.

no.. Soobin is more responsible than going out by himself, coming late without telling anybody. he'd be the last person to do that.

"Beomie.. Just-just set the table. okay? Soobin will be here."

Beomgyu wonders whether to argue with that statement. but Yeonjun doesn't seem like he's up to talking about that. let alone think about the possibility that there might be something wrong with Soobin.

so Beomgyu nods.

"okay.. Hyung"

he takes the plates from the drawer. the blue and gray ones, that Soobin likes. said the pattern reminded him of a sky painting he once saw on the street. and bought for a cheap price to hang on his bedroom wall.

sadly, the painting stayed in that room, while Soobin fled from his family. and Beomgyu vowed, that the second he picks up on oil paintings, he'll recreate the same one. as a present for his older brother.

he sets the plates each in it's place on the table. two for Yeonjun and Soobin, in the middle of the table. one for Hiyyih at the head of the table next to him, dumb mistake. and lastly, two for Taehyun and Kai on the other side, right in front of the Hyungs.

"I'll help." Taehyun reaches for the cabinet above Yeonjun's chopping station. he grabs a few glasses. juice and soda from the fridge, and a bowl of ice.

"Kai?..." Yeonjun asks, mostly to indulge himself with things that aren't Soobin.

"fast asleep. I think he's done for today..." Taehyun sighs. "I haven't seen him this worn out in a long time."

Yeonjun nods. chopping slower.

"Hyung, are you- are you oka-"

"why isn't he here?" Yeonjun turns around, discarding the knife on the counter. his eyes damp and sad, looking for answers where he can't find them. "he said..."

Beomgyu leaves the bundle of forks in his hand, putting them back in the drawer.

"he said 8PM.. So why the hell isn't he here? this is not right, Soobin would never keep us waiting."

"I agree.." Beomgyu shakes his head. "something happened. I can feel it."

Yeonjun sighs, closing his eyes slowly. Tears rolling on his face.

"I need to go search for him... will you be okay for a while?" He speaks, as calmly as he can. But Beomgyu and Taehyun know he's just trying to put a strong act on. But Yeonjun was never good at hiding his feeling. Not like Soobin, at least.

"We'll be fine, Hyung. But..." Beomgyu looks away from Yeonjun.

"Don't dissappear on us too." He continues quietly.

Yeonjun's face falls, even more gloomy than it has been for the past hour. He shakes his head, opening his arms for them both to enter.

"You will always have me, you know that." Yeonjun hugs his friends tightly.
