-Future Husband Bin <3 calling you....-
Accept - Deny
Yeonjun stared at the phone for a few seconds, while Beomgyu did the same. the younger had to resist the urge to snatch the phone and answer the call himself and Yeonjun's hesitance showed him that waiting patiently was the correct thing to do.
"aren't you going to answer, It's Soobin Hyung." Beomgyu might have been strong enough not to answer it himself, but the question for why Yeonjun doesn't do so himself was sitting in the tip of his tongue. he had to ask.
Yeonjun finally swipes across the screen, and a reg light turned on for just a split second before the phone turned black again.
he denied the call.
"Binnie said not to." is the only explanation Yeonjun gives Beomgyu, before blocking his fiancé's number from the contact list.
Yeonjun might've done it with what seems like ease and an unbothered face. but from his tone, Beomgyu could tell how hard it was for him to turn down the call, let alone block the number. for all they know, it might be Soobin calling for help. but orders are orders, especially coming from Soobin himself.
even if they answered, and Soobin was, in fact, on the other line. the first thing he'll do, is scold them for being irresponsible.
"he didn't save your numbers.. right?" Yeonjun turns to Beomgyu, and wipes his tears again.
"no, we didn't either. we just memorized it." Beomgyu leaned on Yeonjun's shoulder. "I don't think he memorized ours though... perhaps he assumed something like this would happen to us, instead of him."
the thought of Yeonjun being the only one in Soobin's call history, and contact list, made Yeonjun both relieved, but equally as saddened. he just cut off Soobin's only source to contact them.
"in any way.. if someone calls you, any of you. don't answer." Yeonjun understand the volume of his words, and it pains him too. but he knows how these situations usually go. he's experienced too, even if he doesn't want to be.
"Hyung.." Yeonjun's tone doesn't go unnoticed by Beomgyu, and raising his head, he is not surprised to see Yeonjun crying again. "it's okay.." he pats the older head while Yeonjun sobs into his knees. hiding his face in them. "Soobin Hyung will be proud of you."
Yeonjun cries even harder at that, unable to stop his emotions from overflowing, and the lack of sleep surely doesn't make it any easier. how can he sleep without Soobin next to him?
in a way, he shouldn't be missing Soobin so much, so much that it hurts. when the younger has only been gone for just 3 days. but he can't help recall the evening right after Soobin was taken to the police station. and how long Yeonjun had to wait before they got Soobin out of jail.
6 whole months. 6 whole months of sleep deprivation, lack of appetite. the loss of physical touch. they couldn't even see each other face to face, and Yeonjun's breaking point, was when he couldn't remember what the younger's voice even sounded like.
it might've been just 3 days now, but there's no guarantee it wouldn't turn into a month, or two... half a year or longer than that
what if he forgets his own fiancé's voice again?
what if they forget each other again?
the thought makes Yeonjun sob loudly, and his head begins to throb.
