19 YEARS PRIORSatoru was far from being satisfied. Every day, he had asked Nanami about this girl he kept on seeing every so often, which happened to also be Nanami's friend, but it seemed like the more he would ask and the more Nanami would say less about this girl, to Satoru's annoyance, obviously. But, to everyone's great surprise (Not at all), Satoru was quite the stubborn and determined individual when it came to the things he wanted. If someone wanted to stand against him, they had to be as equally stubborn as him or even more, which was very unlikely. Someone more stubborn than the Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer alive, was very unprobable. He was almost completely shameless and would resort to any means just to get what he wanted. He was used to having it his way, and nothing else.
But he quickly realized that his junior, Nanami Kento, might as well share a similar level of stubbornness with Satoru. Nanami, no matter what, would not utter a word about this strange girl, and every time, Satoru would remain completely clueless. But even so, Satoru certainly did not give up. He would be sure to get what he wanted, even if that meant working harder than he had first expected. Satoru Gojo was not one to give up so easily.
Which was good, because Nanami would not give up easily either.
From another perspective, someone could say that the two were in a sort of cold war. Neither had made any radical moves yet, but the other could definitely feel that it was a possibility. That it could perhaps happen, sooner or later. For now, the two were in a competition to see who was the most stubborn out of the two. They didn't know if it would stay a competition or if it would become something more eventually. In resume, a cold war.
They didn't know if their cold war would finish like the original conflict, with the fall of one of the two parties, or if it would end up differently from the original conflict. It was still a blurred area that neither of them really knew of. But they both knew that the future knew very well of this blurred part, the end of their cold war. How unfortunate that they both couldn't see the future. But it didn't matter, both were still determined to prove their stubbornness.
"What do you want?!" Whisper-yelled the girl as she tried her best to avoid the white-haired sorcerer, who she had the misfortune to bump into at the library. The library was a place she would often go to study and simply pass time as it was a quiet and calm place. But unfortunately, this quietness and peace got ruined by the appearance of the withe-haired sorcerer she wanted to avoid at all costs. But as much as she would move around the shelves of books, he would follow right behind her, the books aligned on the shelves watching the two walk and sometimes stop so the girl could look at the titles on the books neatly placed on the shelf, the lamp above them keeping a close eye on the duo and offering the teens a source of light, their hair reflecting the yellowish light and the color of their clothes slightly shifting to a different tone from the bad lightening coming from the lamps. The library was quiet and peaceful, but now this atmosphere was ruined as they were the loudest ones in the library at the moment, from their voices and the hurried footsteps of the girl walking on the ceramic floor.
"What? Can't I greet you?" He asked, not caring to lower his voice in the library, which annoyed, even more, the girl. She searched for a book, trying her best to end the conversation with the tall teen as fast as she could, but it seemed rather difficult at the moment. Satoru was quite persistent, to her displeasure, and she didn't really know how to deal with his attitude.
"No! You're annoying! Can't you see I'm busy? Get lost!" She once again whisper-yelled, this time even more dryly than before, not to the surprise of Satoru who kept on following her around the tall shelves filled with books, his usual smile stretching his lips. Even if she walked with hurried steps, trying to get away from him as fast as she could without running in the building, it was useless as Satoru could easily catch up to her with his long legs, and this quite annoyed the girl.
