From her place in the boisterous assembly hall, Y/N caught herself snaking her head to the table on her right more often than not; sneaking quick glances at the Swede sitting there doing interviews. While being so completely distracted from her own interviews, Y/N failed to realise how the man in front of her had caught on to it.
He lowered his microphone to muffle his next words, "Oh girl- I'm just as mesmerised, I gotcha."
Her head snapped to the interviewer who grinned wickedly at having caught her in her daydream as a healthy blush coated her cheeks.
She let out a laugh, not realising whose attention she caught with the angelic sound being heard above all the monotone talking, "Sorry! It's just...right- well, to answer your question; it was quite a surprise for me too to hear the news that I would be kept a secret. I mean, in a way, I loved to be able to create the song and the cinematic message and energy around it in peace, but it feels a bit overwhelming now that I'm putting it all out at once. I just have to hope that it resonates with people and that it was what they had in mind."
"I can say for me personally that it definitely does! Was it hard having to keep it a secret from the outside world?"
The microphone was pointed in her face again, "Yes and no... on one hand I was incredibly excited and wanted to shout the news from the rooftops,"
Lorine smiled softly as she saw the woman light up while talking so passionately, her whole aura screaming happiness. She did not need to hear a single word spoken to know that Y/N's answers came from the heart,
"But on the other hand, it was good to stay in my own bubble for a little while, to get more prepared mentally. Though in hindsight... I don't think that worked out very well, let me tell you that."
The man laughed, "It's dauntingly coming at you a little bit?"
"A little too much," Y/N laughed bashfully, suddenly getting insecure at his empathic and understanding expression. Damn, chin up. She did not want anyone to see her as weak, let alone wanted to get attention because things were already getting a little too much for poor little Y/N, and it hadn't even properly started yet.
He brushed it off, sensing the change in energy, "How has Liverpool been so far?"
"Oh, it's been wonderful! I've still yet to explore everything, though I doubt I'd get a lot of time to do so, but I loved all that I've seen so far."
"So it's definitely been a warm welcome? How's this year's group of contestants? Is everyone getting along? Any tea you can spill?"
She laughed heartily, and once more, Lorine was pulled from her string of thoughts and looked away from her own interview to watch the woman's face light up.
"No tea to spill, sorry, I know you Englishman love your tea. I haven't been able to properly talk to everyone yet, but those who I have met, have been absolutely wonderful!"
"And how has the love been that you received from the public? Your song has reached three million views on YouTube in less than two days already, how does that feel?"
