Sweetheart (Makoto x Reader)

You sat on the bench next to Gou, who was timing the Iwatobi swimmers. Coming to the swim club's practices after school was becoming a normal routine for you, now that you were friends with Gou and the rest of them. You watched them gracefully slide through the water, each one of them doing their signature style of swimming. Although, your attention was mostly on one of the four Iwatobi swimmers. Makoto Tachibana.

You became friends with Makoto just recently, and you both could already trust each other. His smile made your heart thump, and his kind words made your heart skip a beat. You couldn't help but just love the adorable boy when he became embarrassed or scared.

The swimmers got out of the water, flipping the water out of their hair as they made their way to you and Gou. Gou excitedly showed them their times, and you figured you might as well encourage them also.

"Good work, everyone." You told your friends with a smile, playing with your (h/c) hair.

Makoto returned the gesture, a gentle smile on his face. The olive-haired boy suddenly turned to you, remembering something he needed to ask.

"(Y/n)," He called out your name. "I know it's sudden, but will you be able to babysit my little siblings while my parents are away? I need to go out swimsuit shopping with the others."

You stared at Makoto, a bit sad that you weren't invited to the shopping gathering. However, you didn't decline the favor he was asking you.

"Yeah, sure."

You unplugged your phone out of it's charger and put it in your pocket, walking out the door to Makoto's house. Reaching the house, you rang the doorbell. You heard footsteps from inside the house, and found Makoto opening the door.

"Hey, thanks again for taking care of my siblings." Makoto smiled, a little boy and little girl beside him.

"No problem," You replied, smiling at the two kids. "Anything for my friend."

"Ran, Ren, this is (Y/n), my friend from school. She is going to look over you two while I'm gone, okay? Listen to what she says, and don't be troublemakers." Makoto said to his two siblings, turning back to you. "Okay (Y/n), I'm off. Bye!"

You waved Makoto a goodbye, and stepped inside the house after taking off your shoes.

"I'm Ran!" The olive-haired girl exclaimed, her face showing an excited smile. She gestured to the little brown-haired boy beside her. "This is Ren! You're pretty. Are you onii-chan's girlfriend?"

"E-eh?" Your face became a deep red, trying to explain to the child. "N-no! We're just friends! J-just friends!"

"Let's play!" They giggled at you, racing off to the other rooms in the Tachibana household.

"W-wait!" You chased after them, laughing with the two cute kids.

You smiled at the two children passed out on the couch. The sky was already becoming dark, and you've been playing and laughing with the siblings for hours. Quite tired also, you laid down on the couch and drifted off to sleep.

The green-eyed boy came back from the mall, unlocking the front door and coming inside. He saw the adorable sight of you sleeping next to Ran and Ren. Smiling softly, he made his way over to you. You looked so peaceful sleeping there. However, he didn't want your parents to get worried.

"(Y/n)?" The boy whispered softly, crouching down next to you. "(Y/n)?"

Your (e/c) drowsily opened, and you sat up. Rubbing your tired eyes, you looked at the swimmer.

"Makoto?" You stretched your arms, yawning. "Back already?"

"Yeah. You can go home, you must be tired"

"But I want to stay here, with you." You couldn't hold it back in anymore. You were in love with Makoto for the longest time, and decided now was the time to spit it all out. "I love you, Makoto."

The olive haired male blushed, before pulling you into a bear hug. You could feel his warmth, feel his protection.

"I love you to (Y/n)."

The words caused you to smile and hug him tighter. This cute sweetheart was finally yours.
