Sunshine (Nagisa x Reader)

You walked down the hall of Iwatobi High, gossip and after-school plans heard all around the area. You weren't exactly popular at this school and it's been rough for you to get in any social friend groups. You sighed quietly, moving to your shoe lockers when you heard a loud voice calling your name from across the room.

"(Y/N)-CHAAN!!" The voice echoed throughout the room, and you already knew who's mouth it had erupted from. You turned around to face the energetic strawberry-blonde haired breaststroke swimmer, Nagisa Hazuki. He'd been the only person to talk to you, except for his friend Rei Ryugazaki who he introduced you to, during the past year at Iwatobi. You were glad. If Nagisa hadn't come up to you that one day, you sure would've panicked, trying to fit in as best as you could.

You smiled as the older swimmer ran up to you, waving his hand in the air and filling the air with his laughter. His magenta eyes sparkled as he threw his hands up in the air, telling you about great news. "Guess what, (Y/n)-chan!" The boy exclaimed. "Guess what I got!"

"What did you get, Nagisa-kun?" You chuckled, awaiting to hear what Nagisa was trying to tell you. You thought what he'd gotten was the special Iwatobi bread sold at the lunch store that the blonde loved so much, he never stopped rambling on about that.

"Amusement park tickets!" He held two colorful paper tickets in his hands, showing them off to you. The tickets were good for tomorrow, and only that date alone. Nagisa explained how Rei couldn't come, it being too last-minute and interrupting his planned out schedule, and had asked you to come instead. You had a couple of tests to study for, but if it was for Nagisa's happiness, you'd totally go to an amusement park and relax instead of stressing out with mountains of schoolwork.

The next day, after school was over and everyone had cleaned up their classrooms, Nagisa and you had headed out to the small amusement park near the area. As you arrived, you could see the lit up rides flashing, spinning, and moving everywhere. Joyous screams erupting from both kids and adults, food vendors. Nagisa excitedly pulled your arm to the entrance. His face had a big smile on it and his eyes shone, reflecting the colored lights of the big ferris wheel he was looking at.

Seeing Nagisa's happy face made you happy, and you both raced towards the various rides. As the day went on, you both laughed and had fun. After lots of rides, the both of you decided to relax a bit.

"(Y/n)-chan! You looked so silly when the big rollercoaster drop happened!" The blonde laughed, walking towards a nearby bench.

"I was scared to death!" You laughed with him, "You threw your arms up and laughed the whole time!"

Nagisa chuckled and sat on the wooden bench, looking at the glowing ferris wheel that illuminated the night sky. You smiled at him and turned to look at the ride too. You wanted to ride it, to ride it with Nagisa.

"Hey, we should ride that!" He pointed at the ferris wheel, now stopping to let passengers out. "It would be fun!"

"Yeah, let's do it!" You grinned at him, a little excited. Nagisa grabbed your hand, pulling you towards the line for the ride. After waiting a while, you both stepped in a compartment and the wheel started to move. A little nervous, not to mention pretty scared by the heights, you started to shake. Nagisa stared out, gazing at all the city lights that appeared as tiny glowing dots. As you came to the top, you looked at Nagisa to find him staring at you.

His blonde hair flowed in the wind and his pink eyes shone in the light. You looked at him with a confused look, but he just smiled. Before any words were spoken, he took your hand and scooted next to you, planting a warm kiss on your lips. He broke it, and sheepishly smiled at you.

You had no words, the ride back down was silent but not at all awkward. Just before you arrived near the end of the ride, you pecked him on the cheek.

"I love you lots, Nagisa."
