it was friday night, which meant that tomorrow was saturday. saturday meant my date with ricky. i sat at my desk, finishing up a school assignment. with my pencil i wrote the last few words to my response before adding a period to finish it. glad i got that done. it would've been very inconvenient for me if i hadn't. shit, what was i going to wear tomorrow? should i facetime jieun? it was only 21:15 (9:15 pm), she should be awake.
i organized my school papers back into my binder and left it shut on my desk. i pushed my chair out from my desk and spun it. a chair that can spin was a very necessary yet unnecessary purchase. my phone sat, charging, on my nightstand. i made my way over to it and snatched it from where it laid.
i unlocked my phone and opened up the messages app. i was about to text jieun when ricky texted me first. i assumed he was messaging about the details regarding tomorrow. which was great because all i knew was that it was tomorrow.

once my short conversation with ricky ended, i reminded myself why i had originally picked up my phone. jieun might be finishing up dinner but that's alright. worst case she would see my message by tomorrow morning or late tonight i guess. i started a conversation by greeting her. her read receipts said that she had read it which meant she was active.
