The grass rustled in the wind as the sun shined throughout the park. Its shine seemed to last forever, glistening over everything in sight. From the ducks and turtles in the pond, to the people and dogs just enjoying the day. However, the sunlight seemed to fade in comparison of someone. Someone standing in the middle of it all. And that someone was Hazel Levesque, shining brighter than the sun.

"He told me to meet here, but he's not here. Is this the wrong park?" Hazel grumbled to herself.

"No, not at all! I'm right here! Well, I've been hiding as a turtle in that pond over there, but nevertheless I'm here now!" Frank admitted awkwardly.

"Oh haha Frank, very funny. You don't need to hide from me. Besides, I like all your animal forms, but I think I like you most of all." Hazel assured honestly.

"What really?! I-Is that true?" Frank stuttered in shock.

"Yes really! And I'm not gonna tell you why until you explain why you were hiding from me. I really like you Frank, but not when you choose to avoid me." Hazel replied in a heated tone.

"I'm sorry Hazel, that wasn't fair to you and I was just thinking of myself. I promise to explain everything, but can we sit down first? I rather not discuss this in the middle of the park for all to see." Frank apologized with all his sincerity.

"Alright then Frank, I see a picnic table over there. Right next to the bushes. You can hide in there if you change your mind." Hazel smirked mischievously.

"Come on Haz, don't be like that. I would never lie to you. You know that right? So come sit next to me, and lemme explain all this. Just don't judge me, ok?" Frank begged in desperation.

Hazel looked at Frank, then at the table. She rubbed her arm slightly, then walked over to the table to grab a seat right across from Frank.

"It's ok Frank, I would never judge you. You can trust me remember? After all we've been through, there's no one who I trust more than you." Hazel reassured earnestly.

"Alright then Hazel, I'll trust you the same way you trust me. The reason why I was hiding from you was because I nervous. Nervous that I'd mess things up, nervous that I'd trip over my feet, and nervous that I wouldn't be good enough for you. Because let's face it, I've never been the strongest or the smartest compared to the rest of the gang. And it shows every time I see them. I just didn't want you to see that, so I thought that hiding that feeling would be better then facing it head on. Wow, I'm really in touch with my emotions, aren't I?" Frank confessed truthfully.

"No, no Frank that's not true at all. Sure you can be clumsy and get tripped up sometimes, but doesn't everyone? That's the part of being human. Well, half human with the whole demigod thing, but you know what I mean! Just because you're nervous doesn't mean that you're not capable." Hazel reasoned passionately.

Frank sat in silence at Hazel's meaningful words. Utterly shocked by the drive and passion fueled behind them.

"Who says that you're not strong or smart? That's all just negative things that you think, but you know what I think? I think that strength comes from all types of places, from the gut, fists, skill, and heart. And you Frank, you have it all. And don't get me started on smarts because we'll be here all day! But just know that I th-know that you're more than capable of being the person that you want to be. I just hope that that person wants to be with me." Hazel ranted in sincerity.

"Oh Hazel, of course I do! There's no doubt in my mind that I want to be with you. But you need to know it too! I know you said that you trust me and heck even like me, but I never imagined this much. If I'm all those things, then you're all that and more! Your strength comes from within, while my strength comes from you. You are my strength, and that will never change. I could never imagine or even fathom a life without you. So, I know that I didn't tell you why to meet up today, but I sure am now." Frank declared wholeheartedly.

Hazel's eyes seemed to shine with tears, but she held them back with a few harsh blinks. Then, she continued to listen to rest of Frank's heartfelt response.

"I wanted to tell you the truth, and the truth is that I like you! Not as a friend, not as one of the seven, and definitely not as a demigod. But as the wonderful girl that stands before me today. As Hazel Levesque, the beautiful girl that I love more than any animal, power, or person in the world! So I must ask one final question, Hazel will you be my girlfriend?" Frank asked with hopeful eyes.

Everything became quiet for a moment, with nothing but the sound of the wind whipping in the air. Frank stood there anxiously waiting for an answer, until Hazel finally looked up at him. She blushed a sweet red, while fanning her flustered face. Then she got up on her tiptoes and planted a small kiss on his lips.

"Yes! Yes! A hundred times yes! I love you too, Frank Zhang! Nothing would make me happier than to be the string that ties you together. To be the source of your strength, the same way that you are mine. I may make some mistakes along the way, but I'm sure that we'll figure it out together. Now come on Frank! We've got a park to explore!" Hazel confessed honestly.

And so Hazel grabbed Frank's hand, pulling him along the smooth paved road. Running around the field of green, completely wild and free. Knowing that they trusted each other, and would always be there when they needed each other the most.
