Narnia Flicker S1 B2: Burning Soul

Chapter 9

Beau and Ariana stood in the cold room looking at their lost friends. They had been wrapped with care and oils were spread on them. Beau kneeled by his best friend's side and wept. Ariana did the same for Jenna. After they mourned they were escorted back to the safe house to await Aslan.

A knock on the door came late that night. Beau and Ariana both sat up fast as they were beginning to doze off. Beau drew his sword and walked up to the door.

"Prince Beau Aslan is here with a messenger." Said Chancellor Bilbo thru the door.

Beau put away his sword and took a deep breath. He then opened the door to see the great lion Aslan standing with a dark haired woman. Aslan walked in first and floor shook from his mighty paws hitting the ground. Beau and Ariana bowed. Chancellor Bilbo bowed then closed the door as the woman walked in after Aslan.

As Ariana looked up she met eyes with the woman.

"Mother?" She asked with a smile.

"Yes my dear I am here." Queen Tolkien said as Ariana ran to hug her.

"Prince Beau and Princess Ariana I have come to tell you both to flee into the woods. I have a camp set up. The prophecy must be fulfilled." Aslan said.

"Why must we flee should we not stay and fight for your land?" Beau asked Aslan.

Queen Tolkien stood up and placed her hand on Ariana's stomach.

"You both must go till the baby is born." Queen Tolkien said.

Beau looked at Ariana with deep affection as now everything had changed. They were to be parents now.Something inside Beau changed in that moment.

"The time to fight will come to pass and is near. The child will be born in the camp I have set up for you both. It will be a time of peace and growth for the both of you. The prophecy is the family you both have made together." Said Aslan.

"Then we shall go. But mother what about you how have you come here without father's knowledge." Asked Ariana.

"Aslan takes care of it all and when the child is born I will be there to help you with the birth. You both must go. Your father has sent word to the Slytharian Prince they both have sent armies looking for you." Replied Queen Tolkien.

Aslan then looked at Beau and said. "Your father is aware of this and has two horses out back for you both. Pack lightly. Prince Beau this is your family to protect as I am trying to protect mine. Everything in time will come to pass. This is only the beginning."

"I understand your majesty I will do as you say." Beau said bowing.

"I will lead you to the camp and be with you both there. Let us go. Queen Tolkien the gryphon will be there to take you back to Ringuard." Aslan said.

Ariana and Beau packed their things and made their way to the horses. Ariana said goodbye to her mother and they watched her take off. Beau helped Ariana onto her horse and then got onto his. They began following Aslan down the path using the darkness as cover.

Aslan shook his mane and looked back and said."Onward we go this is only just the beginning."
