Stepping back you rub your eyes, so many thoughts running through your mind. Grasping one you, grab Leon's hand, "This needs to be bandaged." Fixing his hand is the best first start to this shitty situation.
Leon looks down at you, a frown on his face before shaking his head, "No time we have to get Ashley."
You glare at him, "Obviously, but if your hand gets infected you're no good to anyone." Leon looks down and then sighs.
Leading him to the fountain you pull him down, then hold out a hand, "I know you have bandages." He finally let's out a small smile before digging out a small first aid kit.
Opening it up you take off his glove and disinfect the wound before wrapping it in a bit of gauze. You feel Leon watching you but ignore him. Dunking the leather gloves in the water you rinse off the blood and then shake it out. Before handing it to him. You finally look up at him and he smiles softly to you, "Thanks, you okay?"
You roll your eyes and sigh, "Leon... You got hurt not me... I'm fine... I'm worried about Ashley but she can handle herself and she won't go far. She was scared and overwhelmed so she's probably just blowing off steam." You rub your neck and glance at him again, "Are you Okay?"
Leon looks down to put his glove back on before putting the kit away and nodding, clearly avoiding your eyes, "I'm okay, I'm a big boy."
You shake your head and touch his hand, "Just because youre used to it doesn't mean it's not traumatizing and hard. I can tell you're effected but you're to strong and cool to admit it." You wink at him and he smiles sadly to you.
"Thank you for worrying, when we get out of here I promise to process what's happened but for now I think we should keep going. If we stop to long we risk losing momentum." You watch as he turns back into a soldier and nod sadly. He's definitely hurting.
He stands up and adjusts himself, checking his guns and things before holding out his uninjured hand and pulls you up. "Come on I think I saw the merchant over that way." He starts walking and you follow.
Sure enough you find the merchant in a small storage room. How he appears everywhere you don't know and don't want to know. Leon has him repair both yours and his knife before he buys some body armor for you and him, "This'll come in handy."
You put it on and wrinkle your nose, "Doesn't go with the outfit but I guess it's good to be protected right now instead of fashionable."
Leon chuckles at your words before winking at you, "You look sexy don't worry."
You blush at the compliment and smirk fluttering your lashes at him, "Not to bad yourself, soldier."
You see his cheeks pink as he smiles wider and then clears his throat and points, "Alright we gotta... Keep going..."
You smirk at your victory and walk past him, "Aye Aye, captain, let's find our missing damsel." Leon laughs from behind you before catching up and walking beside you. This isn't the time to be flirting and you both know that but damn, is it so easy with Leon.
You two sober pretty quickly as you head back inside from the locked portion of the court yard. Heading up some stairs you enter a room and immediately shiver at the sight of zealots "praying" to some sort of figure of the weird headed worm people.
