Amiya awoke the next morning, all the previous nights events came flooding back to her, Akaza, the village, Shinobu. She shook her head and tried to figure out a solid plan so she wouldn't get killed tonight.

He could be wanting to kill her, but she had to remain smart. She wasn't even making a smart decision!! Meeting up with a demon?? Absurd!!

Amiya sighed and got up starting her morning routine while thinking and running all the possibilities through her head as she got ready.

Eventually, Amiya left home for the day and ran through the forest starting her early morning patrol. Now she knew what that presence was, she wouldn't be caught off guard when it would show up.

She felt like she had to choose a side. The corps wasn't the most best place to be anyway, nor was being a demon. It was more than likely for her to die as a demon than as a demon slayer.

She felt torn as she ran, but she had to make a decision, and fast. What if he wanted to know an answer tonight, she was screwed. Becoming a demon would mean killing her comrades. She wouldn't ever have the chance to have freewill.

She'd be giving her humanity away, but to a demon who obviously had interest in her. But don't all men work in the same fashion? Demon or human, they all wanted some kind of pleasure.

Amiya sighed and continued on her patrol, it was just past noon. Demon's wouldn't be out at this time, so instead she wandered down to a nearby village. Amiya walked by the booths just to see if anything had caught her eye.

Men whistled at her as she walked by and she just gave them a stern side look. She came across this booth that was selling hair clips, and she looked through the clips, her eye catching a snowflake one. She picked it up and looked at it.

She handed it to the seller and paid for it before putting it in her hair and bowing respectfully and continued on her way. She eventually stopped to eat something, a ramen shop, she sat down and ordered a bowl of udon.

She smiled kindly to the waiter and sat looking out the window while thinking about tonight. She couldn't get it out of her head, it felt foreign. Amiya thanked the waiter again when he brought her the udon.

She ate slowly, she wasn't in a rush to continue her patrol, so she ate calmly and continued to think. All of the possibilities ran through her head and almost distracted her from the present.

Amiya shook her head and left a few dollars on the table for the waiter and bowed respectfully to the cook,

"Oishī o shokuji o arigatōgozaimashita!"
(Thank you for the delicious meal!)

She called and waved goodbye, she heard the cook behind her,

"Dōitashimashite! Sutekina tsuitachi o!"
(You're welcome! Have a great day!)

Amiya walked out of the shop and saw that it was nearing dusk, she knew that she had to meet the superior moon 3 here soon, but she decided to continue her patrol until it was time.

She ran into the forest and came across a demon who was terrorizing a woman, she ran up and kicked the demon in the ribs and kneeled to the woman, "Get out of here."

The woman looked fearful and she nodded before running off, amiya turned to the demon and it growled at her snapping it's teeth.

"Oi!! That was my dinner!!"

Amiya rolled her eyes, "Go pick on someone you're own size."

With that amiya clenched her sword and ran at the demon.

"Snow Breathing, Second form."

She jumped and swung her sword with a speed that the demon couldn't hope to match. It sliced off all four of his limbs then his head.

"Swift cut of the snow."

She stopped swinging her sword and folded it gently back into it's sheath. She breathed deeply and stood up straight before continuing to walk to the place the superior moon had requested. The demons body burning behind her.

Eventually she arrived, the sun was still slightly up, the sky an orangish color, she kept thinking before arriving to the crystal lake where he requested.

She sat down on a rock and waited quietly for the demon to show himself, it seemed to get later into the night, amiya covered herself in her haori to keep warm, it was only getting colder by the lake.

Eventually she saw that wild pink hair and deep golden eyes appear from the trees, she was almost freezing being out here. He had a pleasing grin on his lips that she actually decided to show.

"I'm glad you showed up Amiya." He came next to her and sat down on the grass, she could feel the heat off of him, it only made her colder.

"Y-Yeah- W-Why a-am i-i h-here a-again?"

Akaza's eyes slightly softened at her being cold, he didn't care, so he grabbed her wrist gently and pulled her to him and wrapped his warm arms around her.

Amiya couldn't help but snuggle close into his warm arms, she knew this was wrong, but she would rather snuggle up to a demon than freeze to death.

He ran his fingers through her hair, "Better?"

"Y-Yeah sure..." Amiya's teeth stopped chattering and she rested her head on his chest, she hummed quietly.

"Why do you want to see me so much...?"

She asked quietly, Akaza felt his body stiffen, he knew she was going to ask that, but he still wanted to answer her honestly. For a few minutes he spent thinking, amiya's eyes watched him until he found an answer.

"Because I want to protect you Amiya. I know it's forbidden, but I simply can't keep myself away from you. It's a lot harder than it sounds."

Amiya's eyes widened and she felt a ping in her heart.
