A picture is worth a thousand words,
But I swear I wrote an entire novel
With the candid of your smile
Captured forever in my mind.
The edges fade,
And the background's all
Blurred edges and gray shapes,
But you're smile's still crystal
It's magic
Healing and destruction
A frozen snapshot,
But still.
Still every time I go back to that moment
I can hear the moments after the shutter clicked
Your laughter ringing through the air,
The way you moved my hair
And stared
The way I swore that was the moment
Our moment when time stopped
When everything changed.
But then time started again
And it was just another
Polaroid memory
To add to my collection.
