Chapter 5:

[Rimuru's P.O.V]

"Akari! Will you slow down for a minute!" I shouted hoping to get Akari's attention and potentially stopping her from causing any trouble to the citizens passing by.

Akari seems a bit too overly excited when it comes to exploring Dwargon as I can see. Yeah..., too much excitement with Akari isn't a really a good thing because she can easily lose sense of things such as suppressing her aura demonstrated when we were exploring the Jura forest. For the past few hours, She have been running around looking at various stores, Mostly the food shops. Ever since she had gotten a taste of the food here in the Cardinal world, her love for food seemingly had grown quite alot from the looks of it. The first time was the night before our departure, the goblins had decided to hold a feast as a celebration which would mean that Akari had the a chance to have her first proper meal here after being reincarnated. At first, the atmosphere became tensed with the goblins because they were patiently waiting to see if Akari were to like the food or not.

Of course..., she did like it in the end causing all of them to become relieved since they were seeing the good news with their every own eyes. I'll say this again.., it was still quite funny to watch the whole thing from a bystander's view.

"Right after I take a look at the store over there!" She shouted back pointing towards what looks to be like a sweets shop..?

'Eh...? How come I have never seen a store that sells any sweets in Dwargon before?'

I was quite confused, have there ever been a store like this here..? I mean..., I didn't really get much time to fully explore every single part of Dwargon to be able to notice a store like this here. Plus, I did used to only go to a specific bar... definitely not for any particular reason other than getting a drink and relaxing when I get the chance to. Yeah..., that's the reason.

Master...》I heard Ciel-san muttered in a threatening tone. She doesn't sound really amused with my statement.

I'm just gonna try my best ignore it for now and return my focus back on Akari who was already at the front of the store looking at the sweets that are being displayed. But, her attention are more directed towards the slices of cake.

"Papa! Look! They are selling cake here! Can I get some?" Akari asked after I had finally caught up to her.

"Akari..., before I can answer. Could you please promise me that you would not run off like that again? You could have accidentally ran into a someone causing yourself and that person to get hurt in the process. Not that you would be able to be hurt nor will I ever let you get hurt on my watch but... you do understand what I'm trying to tell you, don't you?"

"U-um.. hehe.., I'm sorry Papa.."

She apologized while looking down in embarrassment and rubbing the back of her head after realizing what she had been doing the whole time we were here in Dwargon.

'Sigh...' "I'll accept your apology... But do promise me that you won't just run off like that again?"

"Hai..., I promised."

She responded still looking down at her feet. From the looks of it, she truly meant it, not that I doubt her honesty, it was just... I'm too worried about her well-being. There will be times where I won't always be by her side, this was what I most concerned about.., and seeing as she would generally lose sense of her surroundings after her excitement kicks... it doesn't really help with my anxiety.

Even though I don't really need to be with her 24/7 just to know where and what she's currently doing. I still have make sure that I needed this timeline to be kept as similar as possible and to make sure that it doesn't go off course from the original one... considering what I have to do, It will be difficult to maintain her safey at all times.
