Chapter 13

***Five years later***

Pulling up to the clubhouse, I get out and start letting the kids out of their seats as Angel walks up. "Hey babe." Angel says as he walks up and kisses me softly. "Hey baby. Thought we'd come hang out a bit." I tell him and he smiles. I get five year old Marisol out and she runs to Angel. "Daddy, look. Mommy let me pick out my new shoes." she tells him. "They're perfect Princesa." he tells her before picking her up. I shake my head because she's a total daddy's girl. I get our three year old son Dante out and he sees Coco and looks at me for permission. I nod and he takes off to Coco. "Hey little man. You been good for mami?" he asks and Dante nods his head yes. I reach in to get the carrier out holding our seven month old son Xander and Angel takes it from me while I grab the diaper bag. They guys walk us inside and Bishop and Hank walk up and kiss my cheek. I take Xander out of the carrier and Bishop takes him from us. "How's our boy?" I smile and say "He's good. He's had a nap so he should be up for a while." I tell him. "Good, he needs some tio time." Bishops says and I just laugh. I look at Dante and he's sitting with Coco and drawing on him. "Dante. What are you doing?" I ask. "Coloring." He says and goes back to what he's doing. Coco looks at me and says "They're washable markers and he's been told he's only to use them on my tattoos. Right little man?" Coco asks and he says "Right tio." and I just shake my head. He's been an amazing uncle to my kids.

I move over to Angel and Marisol is still in his lap and telling about all the shoes she tried on and that mommy wouldn't let her get a new dress to go with her new shoes and Angel says "Because you just got three new dresses the other day." She looks at him with the most serious look and says "But daddy. I start school soon and I want to look pretty." He looks at her and says "You're better than pretty. You're beautiful." he tells her. "Will the boys like me?" she asks and Gilly chokes on his drink and I just laugh. Angel looks at her with a serious look and says "No boys. Boys are bad." She looks at him and says "But you're a boy daddy." He shakes his head and moves her to sit on the table in front of him. He does this when it's something he's teaching her so she pays attention. "Boys are bad Princesa. Daddy isn't a boy. He's a man." he tells her. She looks at him confused. "A man takes care of his girl. He opens doors for her and rubs her feet when she's had a long day. He tells her all the time that he loves her and never makes her cry. When you find a guy that does that for you, then he's a man. Everyone else is just a boy and not worth your time." he tells her and she says "Like you do for mommy?" and he smiles and looks at me and says "Just like I do for mommy." and I can't help but smile. "You make mommy smile." she tells him. He looks back at her and says "Because mommy makes me happy so I make her happy. I've loved your mommy since the first time I saw her." he tells her. "Mommy, did you love daddy too?" I smile at Angel before looking at her and saying "I think I did baby. You're daddy's always been special to mommy." I tell her and she says "Daddy makes me happy too mommy." she tells me. "He makes all of us happy." I tell her.

After sitting for a while, Coco and Angel take Dante out to hang out while they work on their bikes and Marisol looks at me and says "Mommy?" I look at her and say "What baby?" She asks "Can we go see abuelo?" I nod and say "When we leave, we'll have daddy follow us." and she smiles.

After leaving the clubhouse, we walk in and Marisol goes to where her grandmother's urn is and touches it and says "Hi Abuela." and Dante does the same thing while Angel carries the carrier in behind me. The kids head to the living room to see Felipe and Angel touches his mom's urn and whispers "Gracias Mama." I look at him and he says "I thank her for sending you to me every time I come in here." I smile and kiss him softly before we head into the living room to let the kids visit with Felipe.
