Amara
I entered the classroom as others began to file in. Before it began to fill up completely, I found a spot in the back of the classroom. If my brothers thought I was going to pay attention, they thought wrong.
Don't get me wrong, my grades aren't horrible. They definitely aren't good though. That was at my old school though. I still wasn't going to make much of an effort.
Sighing, I sat down and crossed my arms over my chest while slouching in my seat. I did not want to be here.
The classroom soon filled up and luckily nobody sat by me! At least one good thing came out of this. The teacher who was a middle-aged woman came in and stood at the front of the classroom.
"Hello class! Today joining us is a new student. Would you like to introduce yourself?" She asked, looking at me with a smile. I couldn't actually tell if it was real or fake but who would smile at a place like this? So I assumed it was fake.
"Nope," I said, popping the p.
I heard a few snickers and giggles. The teacher had a slightly annoyed and perplexed face on. "Okay, well then," she muttered before sighing and heading to her computer.
Just then, the door burst open and in came a guy who was tall and handsome as hell, I won't lie. But way to make an entrance. He had dark brown hair, some silver rings and deep brown eyes.
Yes, but I wasn't captivated in them like every other girl who I could see looking at him. They all know how to walk away and break your heart. And he looked just like the player type.
"Mr. Kozlov, lovely of you to join us," Mrs. Whatever her name is said. Russian last name? Almost sounds familiar. Oh well.
He didn't pay any mind to her and his eyes scanned the room until they landed on my dull ones. Unlike mine, his had some sort of spark to them.
He then walked over and took the empty seat next to me. Come on! I was just enjoying people leaving me alone.
"This seat's taken," I said, not looking at him and just staring forward at the whiteboard with my feet propped up on the bar of the desk under it.
"I don't see anybody," he said.
"Yes, exactly," I muttered before pulling out my phone and popping my earbuds in, listening to music.
I heard him chuckle but I tuned out everything as soon as I just focused on the music.
Soon, I heard the bell ring and students started to get up. I did the same, slinging my bag over my shoulder and leaving as quick as I could. I didn't want to run into anybody, more importantly my brothers.
I scurried through the halls, quickly grabbed my books and hurried through the halls. My next class was History. I walked in and there was only one available seat left. I internally groaned and went to sit next to the boy who occupied the seat next to it.
"Just my luck," I muttered under my breath. Really, I just planned to be alone today but it looks like fate had other plans which I would really love to shove down a drain.
I slid into the seat next to a boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and some light freckles. "I hope you know CPR because you just took my breath away," he said, grinning like the Cheshire cat.
I raised my brow at him. "That was my pickup line. I'm Noah," he said.
"I didn't ask," I muttered under my breath before focusing forward. I doodled on the corner of the page of my book.
"So, are you the new girl? Are you fucking the Marino brothers? If I was gay, I would date them. They're pretty fine," he rambled.
My head shot up to him. "I'm not fucking them," I stated blankly. That thought disgusted me.
