Chapter 32

Alex's POV

Two months, two painful months that I had been here, away from her and everything that reminded me of her, Anna and I were officially over and I didn't even feel as hurt as I thought I would be.

When I came back two months ago and saw Anna I knew I had missed her so much, I saw her son and he looks just like her but he still looked like Tony a bit.

I could tell Tony was trying to be happy I was back but I wasn't stupid, he's still in love with her so he knew my coming back meant he had no hope.

I had no intentions of claiming her back but when I kissed her I just couldn't resist, but there was still something missing, kissing Anna had always been something else but it felt nothing like kissing Sage.

I had wanted to tell her everything about What happened in California and if she still wanted to be with me then it was fine but then she kissed my brother, in front of everyone present at the merger event.

I know she saw me kiss that girl but it wasn't intentional, I didn't even know the bitch was gonna kiss me, she just threw herself at me and Anna walked in on us.

Last night Tony had asked her to marry him, that would be the second time she was getting a proposal from a Walker, trust me I have nothing against their relationship, if anything I'm happy for them and I know Anna makes Tony happy.

I don't know if it's the fact that I'm still hurt from Sage's lies but I feel like I no longer felt anything towards Anna like I used to.

The love was now just brotherly love, my mind was only on one person and she was states away from me, I didn't even know where she was but she's probably happy and having the best of life.

Tony and I have worked on our relationship and it's getting better, I'm friends with Anna now, it's like we're back to the way we used to be and I couldn't be more than happy.

Tony told me we had a new client coming in today and he had to be there, now we're were in his office and he was running late, his PA just informed us of their arrival and she was waiting for him to round up so they could go together but for some reason I wanted to be there so I asked her to leave it that I'll go with him.

He packed up and we headed towards the conference room for the meeting, he was in front so he entered first while I followed behind him.

"Mr Romano sorry for the delay, I hope I didn't make you wait too long" Tony apologized to the man in front of him with his hands outstretched for a handshake, I will recognize him anywhere, it's Sage's husband, it just made me clench my jaw.

He took Tony's hand in a friend handshake with a smile "Not at all Mr Walker" his Italian accent strong as ever.

"And this must be your beautiful wife" I heard Tony say and I snapped my head in the direction he was looking, she can't be here.

But I was wrong, she was here, in flesh and blood staring right back at me, her eyes held a lot of emotions but I could see the emptiness in them, they no longer held that captivating look.

He put his hand on her back making her snap her gaze away from me to Tony's hands which was outstretched "Tony Walker, a pleasure to meet you Mrs Romano"

She just gave him a tight lipped smile and took his hands in a shake "The pleasure is all mine Mr Walker" she squeaked out.

"Please just call me Tony, Mr Walker makes me feel like my old man" Tony joked earning a smile from her and a laughter from her husband

He turned towards me and made to introduce me "And this is my brother......" He didn't finish because the asshole married to Sage just interrupted him
