Butters POV and time skip to after school finished.

"Butters!" I heard someone yell at me from down the hallway, I sighed as I heard the large footsteps of a certain fat ass coming closer. I turned to see Eric Cartman storming towards me, holding a fist full of paper.

"What is this?!" He shouted at me, shoving the crinkled paper in my face.

"It looks like your math homework from the holidays?" I said, shutting my locker, I can't deal with Cartman right now.

"It's the homework you were supposed to do for me! I left it in your mailbox, and when I went there this morning, it was in there with numbers on it, so you obviously did it!" He yelled again, his face red with anger, though that doesn't faze me anymore. He's too fat to beat anyone up now.

"And why is that a problem, Eric?" I replied. I didn't do it, so I don't know who did, but I want to know why he finds this a problem.

"Well, Butters. The problem is that all of the answers are WRONG!" He practically screamed in my face as he spat out that last word. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Eric, I didn't do that work. You didn't tell me about that, and since my parents left me home alone for the holidays, I didn't check my mailbox." I explained to him as I started putting my stuff in my bag and beginning to walk away.

"Well then, who did!?" He screamed again, grabbing my collar and pulling me back to look at him.

"Who did you tell about the homework?" I said as I yanked myself out of his grubby grip.

"Just Kenny and Stan... KINNY! " He screamed and ran off to the direction of I guess Kenny's new locker. I sighed and again went to leave walking towards the exit, which, of course, is on the opposite side of the school. I knew that I had to get home. otherwise, my dad would ground me, but I really didn't care about that. The chance he's home and notices is little if I sneak in. I was walking through the school thinking about my classes, work and my parents until suddenly a tall guy appeared in front of me, I luckily stopped before I walked into him.

"I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going. " I looked up and saw who it was."Oh hi Craig, "

"Tweek wants to see you," He said before walking away, I stood just bewildered on his brief and suddenness, and he noticed and beckoned me to follow him. I raced after him, and he walked out of school, Craig and I weren't close friends, so it was a bit awkward. His cold demeanor kind of scares me, but Tweek has assured me many times that Craig is nice, just socially awkward.

"Don't be so tense," He said, I didn't even notice how tense I was until he said that, I relaxed my shoulders. We rounded a corner to the football field where Tweek was cheering on Clyde and Tolkien with Bebe and Nichole. Tweek spotted us and ran over, Craig caught him in a hug and just spun them around so he was hugging Tweek from behind with his head on his shoulder.

"Hey Butters GAh." Tweek smiles at me and twitches a bit, I smile back.

"Hey, what did you need?" I asked skeptically.

"I think s-someone likes you~" He said in a sing-song voice, I felt confused.

"Why would you think that?" I asked, I haven't had anyone like me since Charlotte and Lisa Berger, which are kind of both my fault in retrospect.

"Because they told me, I can't tell you AH who they are though" He giggled, Craig let go of Tweek and went to go watch the guys playing football, giving Tweek a kiss on the top of his head as he left.

"Are you sure? I doubt anyone likes me enough to tell one of my best friends. " I laughed sadly, and I've been longing for someone for so long that I can't imagine what I'd even do in a relationship.

"Mhm! I-i'm sure!" He looks very excited, Tweek loves to see people in relationships. He got Bebe and Clyde back together, and he helped Wendy and Stan when they had a rough patch a few years ago.

"Alright then, thanks, Tweek. I better get going. " I smiled at him and started to walk away

"GAH BYEEEE!" He yelled out to me, I turned and saw him running over to Craig flying into his arms. Craig smiled, a very rare thing for me to see, and just held Tweek close. Tweek continued to shout as the two kept playing.

Kenny POV

I approached Butters as he was talking to Tweek, as I neared, he started to walk away but had turned to look at what they were all doing, giving me the chance to sneak up behind him. He seemed to be looking at Tweek and Craig specifically.

"They're quite cute, aren't they?" I say, he jumps and turns towards me.

"KENNY!" He exclaimed and swatted my arm as I chuckled.

"They are, though. Craigs, so clingy which you wouldn't expect from him, and he doesn't seem to mind Tweeks outbursts or twitches. Tweek just fires back at every comment or insult Craig says without care because he knows Craig cares and doesn't mean it. It's quite adorable."

"You're right. They are." He smiled and turned back to look at them, Tweek waved at us, so I waved back enthusiastically. He smiled and went back to cheering for Tolkien specifically now.

"May I walk you home butters?" I asked him, he nodded and we started to walk towards the side exit of the school. Butters seemed to be in an odd mood. He wasn't chatting about, well, anything. He was dead silent as we started walking through the even more silent streets.

Butters is one of my favorite people in South Park, probably the world. He's always valued me as a person and treated me with more kindness than ever. I was really happy for him when he stopped taking as much of Cartmans shit and started standing up for himself.

"Butters, are you okay?" I asked. He looked at me, and I noticed tears in his eyes.

"I'm alright, Ken, I just need to get home" He smiled at me, I knew fighting him on it wouldn't do much good other than upset him more so I left it there.

"Plus, my house is right here," he said. He looked down as he said it.

"Do you want me to come in with you?" I don't trust his parents one bit, and it was already 3:45, meaning his dad was probably mad. I haven't trusted his parents most of the time I've known him, but after they sent him to Hawaii for being done with peoples shit. I have not wanted him to be around them for a long time, but they're his parents, and I can't stop him from being there.

"No, it's alright. You should go check on Karen." He looked back up, smiling with his tears gone. I didn't believe that he was okay, but I listened to him anyway.

I watched him walking up to his door and waved as he entered. I stood there frozen for a bit, hearing the yells from his father. The yelling stopped after a few minutes, and I decided either he was hurt or grounded. I wanted to go into their house and 'rescue' him, but I knew if I did, he would get in worse trouble.

How do I know this? I've tried it. Butters told me off more than his father did.

I felt terrible as I walked away from his house towards my own. I kicked myself as I did for not being strong enough to save him from those awful parents.
