·˚ ༘₊· ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞ ➳ LUCKILY FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS, YOU MADE IT TO THE PLANE ON TIME. and maybe it was because your mom was sitting with her lifelong friends or because you were moving to a brand new place, but she wasn't mad. not in the slightest!
you, being the winner of the rock, paper, scissors game got the window seat, while akilah was stuck in the middle. charllote was "blessed" with the outside. it was no big deal to the two of them, at least the three of you were all in a row together.
"so, what do you think ua is gonna be like?!" charllote popped up.
akilah hummed. "i don't know. i just hope that the people there will be nice."
you looked at both of the girls. "even if they're not nice, we've always got each other!"
they smiled at you in agreement before wrapping you in a hug.
of course you were nervous, after all it was a new school and that meant new people. but you were just happy to have your friends by your side.
looking out the window, you watched as the heroes down below fought villains to keep you safe. just seeing them made you want to become a hero even more. they protected you from danger and you were so grateful for that.
the remainder of the plane trip was boring. while the three of you did have a the row to yourself halfway through the flight, a kid sitting behind you continued to kick your seat. over, and over, and over again. you turned back once to see the kid sticking his tongue out at you. you half expected his mother to say something but when you glanced over she was already knocked out.
so for the rest of the ride, you kept shut thinking you would just have to deal with it. but to your surprise, akilah spoke up. "hey kid, you might want to check on your mother. it looks like something might have gotten to her."
you watched as the kid's eyes grew wide and he immediately sat down and shut up.
you looked over at the girl in disbelief. "woah, how'd you do that, aki?"
"easy. he was clearly looking for attention since his mother wasn't giving him any. as a result, he'd probably be worried if something was wrong with her. and since he's a kid who doesn't know what to do, all he can do is sit down and worry in silence."
"that's... kinda scary..." charllote muttered.
you nodded in agreement, but was thankful for akilah's interference anyway.
many, many, MANY hours later, the plane had landed and you and your friends had finally arrived in japan— the home to your dream school, ua.
